the media just blew this shit up. As Stuie was saying a fair amount of poeple die from the common flu every year.

It's just a huge farse. The media just see it as a way of selling newspapers and it worked.

Like someone said, this is swine-flu is like a "normal" influenca. The death statistics are normal, and I bet that 90% of the died people are old or small kids. Both of them have a weak immune system. And besides that, it's reported that the course of a disease of infected people in Europe was very mild, a sign that the virus got unstable. What's really life-threatening is a so called super-infection (virus+bacteria). That's all. The first inoculations will be available in autumn. Scientists and doctors allready got positive test with a new inoculation. So, don't freak out.
The media unfortunatelly shows only numbers of deaths or new infections but does not SAY clearly the truth: that even if you get the swine-flu you will in 95% of all cases survive (when you don't live in a third world country).
I will quote on of my favourite thinkers and writers: "OUR DAYS ARE COUNT....by statisticians!".

The ONE AND ONLY pandemic desease you SHOULD fear is AIDS!
