Don't suppose anyone has the video of Rob Swire from Pendulum in the studio going over tips n techniques he uses. Can't find it anywhere. Think it was with Future Music magazine a few years back. If I remember correctly he broke down the track Masochist? Thanks for any help

Rob in a 2008 tutorial - "So in this video we're going to look at the difference in the drums in two tracks from our new innovative album, "In Silico". First we will look at the variations of the snare in the two tracks... oh wait... "

lol sorry, I had to. I must admit, Masochist isn't a bad tune. No idea about where to find this video though sorry.

Most of them include other parts which you can find in the related videos section because of the length of the tutorials.

Cheers for them, the Sub Focus ones from Computer Music are really good, prob the best out of all of them, he goes into a lot of detail on mixing n how to build up the drums, the chase n status one is basically the same thing but not as detailed, cheers for the others, ill have to check them out. :-D

No worries, I haven't checked all of them out myself yet actually. They're all from the "Computer Music" DVDs though and have tutorials in written form in the magazines too. In fact, the latest drum and bass issue of the CM magazine might still be out in the shops if you're quick :P

Funny enough I did pick up this months Computer Music from smiths the other day, it does have a dvd drum n bass master-class thingy in it, too bad all the artists featured are shit!, the only one that impressed me was Nathan Fake, he looks like the Pete Doherty of dance music, right fuckin junkie from the looks of it, but I really like his methods n the way he works, the whole 'everything is done live' approach was good, all automation recorded live n chopped up n then put back into cubase.
I honestly think I've learnt more from watchin these 'in the studio' videos than 3 years of music tech at university, they didn't teach us shit really, was just like 'here's the assignment, fuck off n do it'. Would love it if Liam done one of these videos, same with the chemical brothers too, would be MEGA!
