I don't know anybody from Lac-Mégantic area but is still heart-wrenching that such an event occurred. the railway company responsible for the freight had antecedents. locals received little to no communication/support from their part, and the poorly-translated press release they have posted just added to the insult amongst citizens of Quebec

13 confirmed dead, at least another 40 still to be found, 30 building destroyed, environmental hazards, all for a 6000 people town because of a stupid human mistake concerning crude oils, overlooked security and bigger profit $$$
