i do it just as an hobby. agree its hard to sell picture these days.
tried to start doing Stock Photography, in sites like (see below). But TOA are tricky and again its hard to sell them, they are more interested in object and that kind of shit, which you have to own better equipment, like lights, light boxes (done a DIY one, the result made me laught) and other shit

landscape as pyro pointed out is an area where people are very specialized (the best i can try to do is sell the to local agents for books, sites and so on, but that aint worth the time, they always want notorious photographers to do that kind of job)

stock photos sites

im selling my pictures at fotolia, dreamstime and bigstockphoto, but im gonna cancel my account with bigstockphoto.. Fotolia is my best earner, im exclusive photographer at fotolia, and i reched bronze level in a few months, few times appeared on best sales and won two contests, im pretty happy with this site, the photos they dont accept i upload on dreamstime.. i started to upload on fotolia when i got my camera, i have never had a digital cam before, i still dont know anything about photography, i just take pics, and people buy it, so that proves that u dont need expensive equipment, u can reach maximum result with minimal equipment

erika whats the average pay on fotolia?

it depends of your ranking and exclusiveness, when u reach bronze level u can double the prices, its hard to tell the average pay, u can check the chart

How long did it take you to upload the photo? Four weeks???

yeah yesterday the site was down (voting started yesterday, before that the site was fine). must be on a crap server or too many people accessing it.
