had all 4 of mine pulled out a year and a half ago, went through 3 years of swelling. No insurance, low cash, i didnt take them out.

The swelling is because your GUMS are now being torn open, and food, sugar, syrup will get into the open gum. What you need to do is get a plastic syringehttp://www.gromaximusbuds.ie/product_images/t/10_485_015_100cc_syringe_2__00970.jpg, without a needle, so that you can squirt water with salt into that area. Essentially you need to flush out whatever object is causing the swelling. The swelling is mucus/pus building up to eject that object. There was plenty times when I'd have a grain of rice come out, or even just a sesame seed!

After dinner, I found it best to fill one cup up with a teaspoon of water, and rinse as much as I could, aiming for that area. Your swelling will get worse if your wisdom tooth is impacting your current molars, meaning its pushed up against your teeth. I got mine out, all 4, and I feel great!
