NEOREV:
If there is any form of spiritual activity in that house then it
sounds like the work of a demon to me.
These fuckers exist , and it's something I truly believe.

Now i thought when i watched that movie it was alot of shit, i actually giggled through most of it, thinking it was like a comedy.
I still think there are paranormal shit, i guess its something like ufo's you wont know until you've seen it, i seen 7 ufo's along with the rest of my family, it couldn't have just been something we were imagining, i've never encountered ghosts, well at least i dont think i have, but i dont think there not real, i feel you should always keep an open mind because you never really know what could be out there.

I'm all about keeping an open mind, but just not as much so that my brain will fall out.
ghosts do not exist. We had a topic like this a while ago about the position of the earth in the universe or something like that. A different story, but same bullshit.
I really find it hard to understand how people can believe in this. Alot of things happen to me that I cannot explain, I see things that don't make sense... but why would it be ufo's ghosts or whatever? There are so many other things that make much more sense as explanations.
you are not openminded if you believe in all this or think it might be true(you never really know)... but you are naive.
If I say to you that i am always accompanied by an invisible elephant, would you ever really consider believing me? It's just the same, there's no proof of that invisible elephant, but then again... you can never be really sure that it's not there can you?
I will end with this: Ockham's razor.

Well i can certainly confirm that my brains aint fell out of my head.
I wouldn't call being sceptic naive but more... curious about things.
Theres no need to believe in nothing but cold facts, sometimes theres not enough evidence to confirm things but enough to know.

not knowing the reasons for an unexplicable thing or action is very stressfull for the human mind. therefore it makes stuff up, mostly stuff that's rather easy to grasp. scientific stuff sometimes is hard to grasp and again stressfull for the mind.
another thing that's so incredibly hard to believe in is coincidence. the funniest beliefs occur when it comes to coincidence. for example, for those who played in a casino already, the so called monte-carlo-effect:
roulette, 7 is your lucky number, but somehow for 50 turns neither the 7, nor the 17 or the 27 hit. a lot of people (me included) believe now that the probability of hitting the 7, 17, 27 is higher than 1/37 since there has to be a statistical equilibrium. however thats not the case, the probability is the same as before. the ball doesnt know what happened before, right?
yet some people believe so... the fate of gambling or somesuch... why is that?
because coincidence is a bitch, you cant control it and thats bad for your brain.
therefore you start to believe in fate and destiny, in ghosts and demons... and in god... because its a huge relief for your mind because with these entities you gain power over unknown actions.
"why did my grandmother pass away? i dont want this to happen to my parents."
therefore you start to pray
"dear lord, please..."
and if you believe hard enough, you can be sure, as long as you live your life in the way of the lord, your parents stay safe...
thats control, right?
to accept that death has something to do with age, diseases or accidents would force you to accept that there are actions beyond your own control...
when things around me start to overwhelm me, like my family dies, i fail in college, i get an unhealable disease, whatsoever, i could see myself believing in god and fate and so on...
knowing is tough, believing is good for your mind
