Scotland won 2-1 against Iceland.

Fuck me they don't half put us through the shitter. How shite is our national team though? We really struggled against Iceland and in the end were lucky to come away with a win. We've got a right turd of a national team!

My friend and I were sending in emails to a TV show to have them read out to make ourselves laugh. It was from about 12pm to 2am because we were bored and couldnt sleep. I managed to get the presenters to give shouts out (without them knowing) to the characters of Gears of War, Burnout Paradise, Street Fighter, erm, had a lengthy conversation about Tamales and pizzas, got them to say hello to Gary (Glitter) for looking after the kids and Harold (Shipman) for taking care of my nan in her last few hours. Ah, what a fun way to pass the time, watching presenters unknowingly make idiots of themselves :)

If anyone else in the UK can't sleep or is bored around these times, then check out Virgin1, which is freeview channel 20, on a show called Roulette Nation. I sign my mails as "James, Charlie and Jalbert". It's funny to see how they react to the name 'Jalbert' :-D

Yup the first episode aired tonight. It's on the torrents already, about 2 hours after it aired! It's going to be 3 episodes long, and is on over the entire weekend at 9pm each night. There's also a making-of show too. For anyone in the UK you can see the whole trilogy repeated on Monday night at 9pm.

Very good I thought, it feels a little more 'serious' than the previous years as there's no canned laughter. But the CGI was very impressive, looks like Dave spent quite a bit of cash making it.

I thought the new episodes of Red Dwarf were pretty pants to be honest. Though I was never a massive fan of the older ones.

What's cheered me up today? Well i've finally got a lodger! Been looking for a lodger for 4 months since my bitch of an ex cheated on me and moved out! So finally I'll have money again.. paying the mortgage on my own has left me broke.

OFF/TOP
+1, although I was a fan of the old this just didn't work at all. I chuckled slightly once in the first twenty minutes and the rest of the time I must have looked as though I was in pain so switched over and left the rest alone to die it's death.

Sadly I have to agree, I think I 'shot my bolt' too soon on Friday. I thought the first episode was really quite good, but the 2nd ep was poor, seemed like they didn't know what to do with the story and the Coronation Street bit was just dire. Did like 'Carbug' though. The final ep wasn't too bad, the Bladerunner bit was excellent, but I really thought it was going to be so much better. The making-of show was interesting though.

Shame.
