The highest recorded one-day snowfall for the month of December occurred on Dec. 11, 1944, when just over 28 centimetres fell.

The blizzard posed the biggest challenge to city crews since January 1999, when Toronto called in the military to help clear more than a metre of snow that smothered its streets.

Some 800 accidents were reported in the Greater Toronto Area, with 300 in Toronto.

What's with all you Brits wishing you had this kind of snow? People on DOA said the exact same thing! lol Yeah it's all fun and games till you have to trudge out in the shit and dig your car out for 40 minutes or try to cross the street in slush and ice!

in odessa we got a load of snow, then it melted and then froze, so now the whole city's like one giant skating rink at the moment. think i'd prefer either the snow or nothing.

usually on december we have snow, but because of global warming all the seasons went crazy, i think we can expect snow on spring
