Hey guys what's the easiest way to rip scenes from DVDs? I don't want it for anything fancy, I just want to make simple MPEG videos for uploading on YouTube. For example, if I wanted to rip one particular 30 second clip from a DVD to upload. How do I got about it... and if I need any programs, which (free) ones should I use?

I myself use Final Cut Pro. I just import the videofile from the dvd disk, then import it into Final Cut Pro. Select the part I want to have, export as DVstream. Upload on Youtube, done. 30 minutes of work
You can use any video editing program, Windows Movie Maker is a simple place to start.( )
