Wanna talk 'bout homosexuality? OK.
A saucy Heinz mayonnaise advert showing two men kissing has been pulled after it prompted more than 200 complaints.
Heinz has cancelled the television commercial for its Deli Mayo just a week into its run because of "consumer concerns".
The ad features a family scene with a boy and a girl getting ready to go to school. They refer to a man dressed as a delicatessen worker making sandwiches in their kitchen as 'mum'.
Their father then enters the kitchen, grabs a sandwich and the two men kiss. As the father leaves for work the delicatessen worker calls him "sweetcheeks".
The ad which was pulled off air last Friday was due to run for another four weeks.
Viewers said the commercial was "offensive", "inappropriate" and "unsuitable to be seen by children".
Some parents were angry the ad had forced them to explain same-sex relationships to their children.
A Heinz UK spokesman said today: "It is our policy to listen to consumers. We recognise that some consumers raised concerns over the content of the ad and this prompted our decision to withdraw it.
"The advertisement, part of a short-run campaign, was intended to be humorous, and we apologise to anyone who felt offended."
The Advertising Standards Authority has yet to confirm whether it will investigate the ad.

Saw the ad, it kinda puzzled me at first. I thought "2 gay dudes?"and then "a guy thanking a cook for the meal?" and then "who cares, what does the mayo taste like?" lol. Not really a big deal but there will always be the easily offendable people out there.

i'm not too fussed about homosexuality at all, one of my old school freinds turned gay, doesn't bother me, but in school he did have like 5 girlfreinds going at once and the girls usually changed from time to time honestly, thats the only thing i find fucked up about it.
but yeah i don't think there to be feared, its not like there gonna hit on you if you don't want, so homosexuality doesn't bother me

well to go more in-depth:
I've never felt any hate of 'the other side'.
I think people should be respected in every way.
The most important thing is to be a happy person in your life.
And if you wanna be happy for being gay, so be it.
If you act normal to everybody, you get a normal response for 99 %.
Only thing that would bother me is gay's touching me needlessly.
They can expect a handshake from me, nothing more.
I used to beat up some guy a few years ago together with a gay.
The guy beat up was a bit disrespectful towards my friend.
Coolest gay ever, don't fuck with him haha. (Well, not literally of course , but , you get the point)
I hope you have heard enough from me to say that I don't have a problem with gays... just don't touch me.

innapropriate for what?? like, let's say, drugs and death, kids all need to get aware of it all someday. it's an absurd reaction from the parents to get mad just because they're embarrassed to explain them something they have to explain anyway. and I don't think it's an "age" thing. when it comes, it comes, and appropriate education needs to follow
