Post subject:  Random discussion: Incestophobia
Just talked with a friend of mine about something:
A man and a woman who are sister and brother, grow up seperately and do not know each other. Later in life they meet and fall in love. This is by law illegal in England for instance, and they will go to jail for it. Is that good or bad?

I dont like the thought about being together with a sibling myself, but is that any different than how many people feel about homosexuality? We stoped putting homosexuals in prisson, just because we dont share their passion, long time ago. I think its a cultural (religious) feeling of aversion that we have. In my oppinion, as long as its volunteerly, peoples lovelife is their own business. It does not bother me what other siblings might do in such case, as i have my own free will to decide what i want myself.
Having children may not be a good idea due to the risks there may be connected with incestual relationships, but we have sperm and egg donors in todays world which can solve that issue (possible children should not be made victims). It may also not be psychologicaly healthy to be in such relationship before you are mature enough to understand what concequences it may have, so an agelimit around 18 or 21 would be ok with me too. But in general I think the laws against brother/sister relations is outdated and wrong.

What do you people think?

well i see it in two ways




if they knew they were brother and sister before they started a relationship etc i think its totally fucked up and wrong, even if it was your cuzen i'd think its fucked up and should not be aloud anywere.


but if they never knew and they were in deep love and never knew till they found out i think its just a big fucking shame, i think its ok for that to be honest cuz really u can't just stop loving somone like that as easy as one two three, kids though yeah that would be a big problem, but never stopped adam and eve did it ? :lol: but yeah my opinion is if they never knew and were already in an uncontrolable love then i would pass it through my mind and not care, but i'd be wary about children and not have them.

and what you said if they have a baby, for real?? :wink: will be an illegal baby??? will kill him/her...stupid laws. :?
i'm pro - if they don't know before, it's ok
i don't have nothing with nobody, if i don't know about it, it's what they want. :)

well no i say i recomend they don't have a baby lol, that baby has a right to live just like every other baby lol just with the similar genes the baby may be put through pain all its life with crazy disability.


they may have a baby of course i don't see why not but i don't recomend it as it could be just a painfull agonising life for it

i know this, with genes, but in Romania was a case, not long ago. the baby is ok. the women and the man have the same father.

True. Its a risk (i dont know how big), but not something that always happens.

the thing bout the romanians, they had the same father, so that means a different mother, i donno what could happen if both parents were the same
