I'll kick off with some specs myself. I'm currently building a new desktop machine. Still need to decide on a few things, such as the memory and which new keyboard and mouse to pick. I have all parts listed below, but without memory it's not going to work Case: Antec New Solution NSK6500-EC Screen: Samsung SyncMaster 940BF Motherboard: ASUS P5B Deluxe Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Videocard: ASUS EN7600GT/2DHT/256M Soundcard: Creative Sound Blaster X–Fi Platinum Speakers: Logitech Z–4 DVD-RW: BenQ DW1655 HDD: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 320GB, 7200RPM, SATA, 16MB cache As for the memory, I'm thinking about getting only 1GB for now. If necessary I can always upgrade in the future. I will need to get some DDR2 memory. Preferably only one strip of 1024MB and not two strips of 512MB. I was thinking about getting some PC6400 memory, but wouldn't know if this is a wise choice. I'm not a hardware person really, so I'm still looking around, trying to find out what is best |

A computer, you know, a device that computes, a programmable electronic machine that performs high-speed mathematical or logical operations or that assembles, stores, correlates or otherwise processes information. |

No offence but I've never understood why anyone would be interested in what computer setup other people have got. |

Why would anyone want to know what kind of music creation setup other people have got for instance? The answer to both questions is the same ;) |

No because all computers are basically the same. Whereas there are distinct differences between different music setups in what they can and cannot achieve |
