this is fore the people who realy pirate things masively, not for the ordinary user who downloads something from public torrents and rapisd share and stuff like that.as long as you keep the stuff you download for yourself and don't use it to make money it's cool.
in my country they will never convince internet providers to do this cause they would losse almost all their clients

isnt it ironic that some of the biggest record companies have a share in companies that make blank cds? and why the fuck did they enable fast and cheap internet connections? they knew that most people would use it for downloading films and music

music companies or media companies in general don't control the grow of technology, internet evolution and prices, and you need to have blank cd's.it's not ilegal if u use them to copy you're favourite album and give it ot a friend, or keep you're photots on it, documents or a vacation video you made.so there is no problem with blank cd's and i don't think we can acuse anyone with anything

you have knives in your house but that doesn't mean the store you bought them or the manufacturer who made them gave us the means to kill each other.
i get your point but i don't agree with it.
and the blank cd's aren't the problem here, but the low quality music we have today, that people don't bother anymore to buy.the just download it(and that doesn't mean the internet is to blame.
in the end artists now have only the real fans who buy their music(who buy the album even if they donloaded it first), and although is bad from the comercial point of vue, from an moral perspective is better cause you know theyr music is apreciated only by the people who matter.
maybe my point is wrong but wtf?it's different points of vue for every person, and this is a complicated subject

i totaly get your point of view its just that ten years ago you couldnt dld much stuff because not many people had good net connections. today people dld dvds in ten minutes, i mean what the hell should they do with such a connection except dld stuff. i totaly agree that its theft and its wrong

it's not theft if you take something from a public place like the intarnet is and keep it to yourself.i mean watch the movie, listen to the music and then delete it or whatever.
piracy is about people who download tens of gygabytes from the internet, and then multiply it in comercial purposes to make money from it.that's piracy.people like us who download music from isohunt, or mininova or from links from rapidshare like the ones on this site, don't do nothing ilegal.
but i was taking something from this site and sold it online, or burn cd's and sold them that would of been ilegal.
in my country there is a law that if a person downloads more than 50 gygabites per month for deveral months from the dc++ networks they get in trouble.police check-ups at home and stuff like that.even arested and get in jail.and the police now monitors all this networks to prevent piracy.
why do you think sites like isohunt or mininova still exist? they only closed a similar site and gave a huge punishment to a similar site who required mandatory registering for money, if you wanted to download

i don't think it was just for that.i know that in my country they can't do anything with that.they have to prove you forwarded the stuff you download for money

Other alternatives include requiring ISPs to disclose the identities of regular downloaders, a move they warn would be costly and could breach data protection controls. They could also be ordered to install filters that would prevent downloading.

prevent downloading??????? what about all the legal downloading-itunes, tunetribe, 7digital, nine inch nails, etc

the music and film industry must be paying a lot of money to the government to try and get legislation like this :rage:

best workaround to this bullshit is to get someone in another country to download it for you and mail it to you on a usb disk ;)
