Featured are whales and Calderon dolphins (probably the most intelligent dolphin there is, they have a tendency of approaching people on their own and are therefore - harmless) This is mostly being done in the name of tradition. Supposedly, this is their way of becoming a man, a step to adulthood so to speak. Now, Im nowhere near an environmentalist but I would really like to fucking hang these people. Yes, we all kill animals but this is completely unnecessary. |

i'm tryna write this fuckin tune man. but yeah, im against this and seal clubbing. killing animals to eat is ok to me cuz its tasty but for no point? stupid. aparently seal clubbing is done because theres too many of them...? lots of places are becoming overpopulated but we dont go round killing people so theres more room.... |

Looks like fun! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/f ... 104494.stm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whaling_in ... oe_Islands Quote: Faroe islanders have been hunting for pilot whales for centuries, giving them valuable food stocks for the winter. Whale meat is never sold on the Faroes, for the catch is divided out amongst people in the community and any surplus given to hospitals and old people's homes. Unnecessary killings my ass... it's just as necessary as killing a cow... and probably even tastier Sign me in! Quote: With 800,000 pilot whales in the North Atlantic and with rarely more than 2,000 a year taken in the Faroes, the whale population is not under threat. Quote: rather than attempting to block a traditional and sustainable harvest, environmentalists would better focus their energies on preventing the slow poisoning of the seas, which in the long run pose a far greater threat to the whales, and to us all.
Something to think about..... |

Humans already control Horses, Dogs, Cats... sheep, pigs, chickens..... for many different things... (including sex) Whales are a pretty valuable source of meat... (definitely a whole lot more meat than a cow) as along as their not being hunted to extinction... why should we care if a small island hunts them regularly? Why should we give them more care and attention than most cows that are used for human consumption? Worthy of note: http://luna.pos.to/whale/intro.html Quote: When I imagine the life of beef cattles, which cannot enjoy free activity, whose meals are determined not based on their taste but on humans' convenience, and which are killed eventually without exception, it reminds me of life at concentration camp.
Killing an animal for food... is hardly a "pretty" thing to do..... so do the right thing... vote for PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals)! why settle for the lesser evil? (That's my life's motto by the way ) |

yeah... and we really NEED to eat cow meat otherwise we die eh? We can all become vegans... definitely a more abundant food source than meat... actually that's precisely the "dreamworld" most "animal liberation" hippies want for the planet.. count me out Edit: Were did i say they didnt have anything more to eat? |

Fuck no. I know a couple of vegans. Most of them cant cope with their everyday lives and their appearance is anything but normal. I dig on meat. Imagine if you saw the same pic above only with cows that nobody would eat later on. Thats why I think its useless no matter how humanitarian they want it to sound. |
