well ep lemmie reassure u its kinda alright dude. most deaths occur in shitty places with no healthcare and all that. i live 20 miles away from the first place in the uk to get swine flu, i've went there, i've went nightclubbing there and i've baught my food from there and i've not caught swine flu, if your worried about it you should always wash your hands after coming home, noone in the uk has actually died from it yet anyway i think, its all about the healthcare, its like a flu can kill u but if u get the treatment you'll be fine in the end. but to add to this post, there are some things being done to help it. we got a pamphlet in the door about what to look out for and what the symptoms are, basically its not a thing u can cure at home but if we know the symptoms then we'll know its time to take you to the hospital, also from the last time i checked theres alot of scientists working away for a cure and there making good progress and anyone who does catch it basically gets quarantined in their own home |

yes ep but its the healthcare in america if u cannot afford treatment then u wont be treated, and your right with the symptoms but theres one new symptom that was mentioned, being sick, now i've had the flu alot of times and i've never ever felt like throwing up, so perhaps thats a sign |

Its ok lads my job sells the vaccine. I can dish out discounts! Anyway i don't think that amount of deaths (28,000) is directly affected from swine flu. The common form of influenza kills on average 22,000 people a year. So far confirmed deaths of swine flu probably amount to about 120 worldwide. Mountain out a molehill if you ask me. |

28 000 is the number of people infected not dead! Code: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090612/ap_on_he_me/un_un_swine_flu
only 144 have died. the common influenza kills a lot more but this virus could turn out much worse. |

I actually drove right past the city that had the 1st US swine flu death when I picked up my sister from college in San Antonio. I don't think too many people are worried about now since we have new headlines to worry about like planes falling out of the sky and the price of gas on rise. Plus we got got Stuie here @ BK to get us the vaccine! |

I didn't give a shit about swine flu til I was rushed to hospital after being told by the NHS direct service I had it, only to arrive there to be greeted with "you may also have a brain tumour" having 3 needles in my arm, 2 blood tests, a CT scan and MRI scan and going to sleep on a drip. I woke the next morning after waiting hours for my results to be told I had regular flu, a virus, and that I'd caught another virus on top of that whilst being in hospital, so I've been as I'll as fuck all week, not been to work and not gone to London for my friends birthday which she then cancelled and got upset about which has made me feel even worse! Wah! |

I had to travel on a plane recently and I couldn't help but lmao at all the paranoid asians with their facemasks. Swine flu is going to be just as anticlimactic as Bird flu. As Stuie mentioned this is definitely mountains out of molehills. |

except bird flu could only be caught from the birds themselves. this virus is stuck with us now and the difference between this and normal flu, is that it has killed healthy adults. having said that, statistically speaking, who gives a fuck.. if u do get it, dont b a wanker n make sure u dont spread it. |

Electronic_Punk® wrote: Most of the deaths werent in shitty places, take a look at America Yeah but people who died here in most cases already had preexisting conditions, or were brought from Mexico for treatment. Let's face it, Mexico has terrible health care and lack of hospitals or urgent care clinics. Lot's of victims over there never received proper treatment on time. The ones who live in villages never even went to the doctor, they was trying to fix themselves with over the counter medications which doesn't do shit. That's why so many of them died. This flu is like every other, and may be cured by proper viral medications and can be prevent by proper hygiene. I don't know...ppl were freaking out in here couple of weeks ago, they even closed like 100 of schools allover MI, but since then no one even mention anything about it anymore. The one creepy thing media is talking about is, that during autumn this flu may comeback with much bigger power and kill much more people. They call it a "second wave" or something like that. |
