I've sent some stuff to Italy which has gone "missing" and I notice alot of eBay sellers refuse to ship to there (is it because everything gets lost?).

Italy has one of the most crappy postal services to date. I live in Italy and have fought with Posteitaliane sooooo many times...

*BUMP*

Hell yes it's crap! I bought a CD from ebay just recently. It came quickly enough (about a week), but when I opened the packed it was in 2 separate pieces, and there was liquid all through the package

I've since negotiated to send the item back to the seller to give me a refund, and in return I agree to cancel the transaction so he maintains his perfect feedback score.

I heard a rumour that the mafia/la costa nostra, whatever you want to call it, are involved in transport, logistics, mail, etc.

Yeah, I guess gangsters are stealing and breaking everyone's stuff
