I do it the manual way:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Delete Temporary Internet Files
(In IE8: Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Delete)
3. Open soundcloud.com, and start playing the track you want. Wait until fully loaded.
4. In IE: go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Browsing History -> Settings -> View Files
5. Sort by file size, and you should easily find an audio track with a very long strange name
(If you dont see any audio file: press F5/refresh)
This works for any page that uses Flash and temporarily stores files on the filesystem (like youtube, myspace etc).
Some sites keep the files in RAM memory only, and for these sites you can use a packet sniffer like wireshark (free). This is a little more advanced though, and does not work with SSL pages.

Download helper extension for Firefox is what I use for Soundcloud. You might have to rename some files but works like a charm.

Agreed. I haven't found many sites where DownloadHelper has let me down.

You can also use www.soundcloud-download.com to download tracks from SoundCloud. It works for all tracks, even those which has download limit already reached.
Hope that helps.
