Hey people, this is in off topic as it's more based on the question rather than the artist himself. Do any of you know what Dub FX uses to manipulate his rapping into higher and lower pitches when performing live? I'm really curious to know if there's also some software that replicates the same effect whilst similarly seeming very realistic (and no, I've not found that Melodyne does the job nearly as well). Here's an example of one of Dub FX's tracks where he uses the effect/modulation/whatever it is a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEPEleJVjOo (Lower pitch at 1:46 and higher pitch at 1:58) Cheers in advance |

i think he uses some kind of hardware with pedals..he activates, deactivates the effects and record loops that way. To get an effect like this from software you must route 2 pitch shifters in parallel... |
