I made this topic after I saw that, for the most part, no one outside of the US knew this was actually happening over here. Me and a few friends plus family members are planning to join the many coming together in New York City this weekend. What began in New York with the OccupyWallSt movement has spread to many of the cities across the entire country. Folks joining together and discussing the state of the world and taking action against the people who have demolished this country and the rest of the world.

So in this thread, I will post everything that I have posted on the music-playground.net forums to help make more people aware of the situation. I'm getting in touch with organizers in hopes to come down and perform in support of the protesters who have been occupying the streets of New York City for the last three weeks.

Finally Americans are waking up and taking a stand and trying to get this nation back under control from greedy bankers and crooked politicians. What started out with only several hundred folks planning to stay camped in Wall Street for as long as it takes. It is going on Day 15. After the video below of a NYPD cop intentionally macing peaceful protesters for no reason and inciting a riot, the number has grown to over 10,000. Me and Erin really wanna pack up and head out to the city to join the fight. This on the ground footage of this cowardly and disgusting human being who doesn't deserve the title of police officer makes my blood boil. Luckily enough, MSNBC called this officer out and now launched an investigation.

People mocked this movement as unfocused and without any meaning... which is not true and, I believe, these negative mouths missed the real point to what was happening right in front of their face.
This is a message. This is awareness.
This is getting people from all walks of life getting together to actually talk and interact...
from the voices gone unheard, silenced by our corporate sponsored government.
A government that should be for the people, but has fought against us and stripping us bit by bit.
Together, those occupying Wall Street discussed what actions they felt should be taken.

The rest of the chumps being ruled by a crooked and selfish rich 1% that are suppose to be the "job makers."
This was the most democratic process I have ever seen happen in this nation in the last decade...
after the downward spiral of 9-11 hysteria this country has slipped into.

Like all governments and media outside the US, I'm sure only certain aspects of what is actually going on over here get any real attention in the rest of the world's media. For example, our media makes sure to only focus on certain upheavals and uprisings in the media when it sees fit. Many of the marches organized to protest the economy in other nations usually get glossed over. Especially the important ones that go against the establishment. There's always that filter to uphold certain images and feelings. I'm sure to viewers from around the world, America comes off as a lazy, greedy, spoiled, and pushy country. I can see why we look that way. But you got understand, we're not all like that here. There are people here who want to see a change... who wants to see one human being helping another... see people taking care of people, respect the planet and our surroundings, to be held accountable, to end pointless wars, and move to a less destructive future. Yes, it sounds hippie-ish. But it doesn't mean it's not such a bad world to live in. These are the people whose voice you don't get to hear in the news. The people who really want to make a change. We just don't have the money to spend in making sure our voice gets heard like corporations do. We want to see fairness and accountability. The last couple of years has been one strange and wild ride. Americans were late to game once again, but hey, better late than never. And I'm happy to see people are waking up. Footage on the scene in NYC is quite moving and I feel like I'm missing out on an important moment in our history by staying home. In this past year, I've watched this country slide down a slippery and scary slope... teetering on the edge, and now suddenly, here we are. Tens of thousands of us banding together... and that number is rising. A lot of these images and emotions went into writing this new album. It really felt like there was no hope. Humans have the ability to do such great and selfless things... and the ability to self-destruct and disappear from the face of this planet.

This is worth keeping an eye on, youre already seeing politics come into this. I've noticed the Obama administration (and I dont mean all libs. or those on the left) giving a little wink of support to the protesters. WTF? His cabinet, just like every previous administration, is 100% Wall street people. You cant stand and support the protesters when youre the one fucking them over. Im not blaming this president- Im blaming him and all the others going back 50 years. It's taken time for this crony capitalism to get so bad.

What worries me is why is Wall street the main focus right now. Over the past decade fannie may, freddia mac, bank of america, general electric, general motors (list goes on) went bankrupt due to untruthful or illegal practices, or lack of sales.

If the local burger shop owned by mom & dad down the street goes bankrupt, they have to close down or find a way to stay open. What happened with all of these big Wall Street companies? They were propped up with trillions of dollars not from 'Wall Street', but THE FEDERAL RESERVE.

They are the fucking problem. If the USA was a human, Wall street would be the heroin addiction- The Federal Reserve would be the drug pusher.

Their name sounds all 'offical', eh? But they are a private banking group that loans the US their money. They are as Federal as 'Federal Express'.. its just a name. The income tax we pay every year? Thats a tax on the money they loan us.

Imagine you own 2 spitfire singles- still packaged, you have something worth a bit of money! But tomorrow, XL announces that they found an additional million copies in their vaults they are releasing. Your investment has now gone to shit, as the value of your singles has dropped from $100 per single to about $5.

This is exactly what the FED does, pumps in trillions of dollars of funny money to Wall street, and we the people of the US feel the impact as the worth of our dollar goes down because there is more in circulation.

So, lets focus on the big daddy, not its son wall street. Protests started yesterday at the 12 FED banks around the USA, and I hope they grow. There has been a push in congress to fully audit the FED and find out what they are doing, but it keeps getting shot down.

The more you read and connect the dots, the more you find the FED is involved in just about everything. They are an evil institution, working for the 1%.

There was a president with the balls to shut down the FED, but days after putting it into action, His head was blown open in the back of a limo. Coincidence?

I watched documentary Inside Job today and it made me wonder how the hell is this goverment still running.
I understand it is difficult for the rest of the world to protest against leaders of financial sector in USA. but how the hell is this possible that this kind of demonstrations didn't begin already 3 years ago and how the hell are these same guys still running the game? fuck, thats out of my mind.
