I stumbled across this clip of a guy trying to cancel his AOL account. Why he recorded the conversation is beyond me but it did prove to be quite funny. I myself used to be an AOL member but I took a different route to cancelling my account and just let them suck up the last $25 in my one bank account and made a new account with a different bank.
This clip just goes to show you how much of a piece of shit the AOL corporation is:

Word has it AOL is such a hard service to cancel from that they are known to not cancel your account and keep charging you long after you try to keep cancelling. Everytime you try to cancel you get idiots like this wanting to know what's wrong rather than just cancelling the account for you. They really are next to impossible to get rid of
