This is Liam we are talking about...

itll either be:

A) A Short Intro
B) Pushed back or delayed a couple more weeks until we get to hear it
C) A very low 64kbs quality of the track or a demo version of it.

Actually it is even a wonder that he'll give SOMETHING. When did he do it? Did you ever heard that he'd put on their site a track before the album? Cos I didn't.
Actually I am more excited about the whole album itself. It annoys me a bit that we have to wait months when it's already ready. Just to increase my nervousness some berlin cunts could already hear it. I personally wonder what takes so long to release? Cover-designing? Fuck that.
This free track feels somehow (to me) like if Liam would be a farmer who actually seeds a core to a whole garden of chickens.
Though, of course, I wanna hear that stuff. Take what you can and feel yourself satisfied.

Ahh mate, first of all, they would never hand out a fucking intro, that's just stoopid. Plus, we know IMD ain't an intro, it's a full track.
Second of all, Liam's in control now, not XL and Midi anymore, so they guys can do whaddafok they want, and if releasing a nice coded mp3 for the fans, which actually WILL promote record sales although it sounds contrary at first, is what they wanna do, the it's gonna go fly like this.
Liam himself said, he made peace with the internet and you can be as fucking stubborn as a Liam Howlett is, but one day you have to understand that the internet- and bootleggin-situation IS as it is and no bitching is gonna change that, so live with it and use it progressively or wheep into your moet for another decade.
Last thing before I go to a very very delicious low cost eatery and stuff my stomach with punkfood: You guys telling these things about "The record's fuckin finished, why the hell does it take them so long to finally drop it, I don't understand it!" - you gotta see that there's more than writing-recording-mastering-releasing.
You have to do a lot of market specualtions, you have to take care about artwork shit, promotion, distribution, you have to check what time is economically right for releasing, you have to book releaseshows, you have to inform magazines and posts that work in your favour, you gotta do a whole lot of shit before you spit it into the street, so please be patient and just try to enjoy the fact that we're at least getting another record and also very soon.

the "free download single release" thing is the new way now.

a lot of bands have done this to promote the albums in advance, i believe Coldplay and Oasis have done this because basically singles are obsolete these days and most times a rip off. i miss the days for $5 or so you'll get a single with extra tracks and multiple remixes, but now the charts have rules on how many tracks you can have on it to be eligible as a single. i miss the old days when singles were actually awesome.

only one group i see these days really puts a lot into their singles and funnily enough is Mindless Self Indulgence... you usually get a bout 6 or so tracks including extras. they even released a 3 singles simultaneously each backed with multiple remixes, cut tracks, and a video. it's pretty sweet for a band that's still kinda underground, not so much, but they're no Coldplay or Oasis. but they still know how to treat fans. i met MSI and they are really cool down to earth have a good time kinda people.

but yeah, this is the new day and age of free online singles. and their promotional firm is gonna use this time until March to really get the word out there. AONO have ZERO advertisement here in the States, most people didn't even know they had a new album.

but hopefully this time around, they get in everyone's faces.

It´s fine to get a track for free, but I´m oldschool [conservative] concerning music and releases I think.

The thing I´m most afraid of is the future of the music market and how music will be delivered to the fans (or customer), cos there are more and more released tracks, which are only available via internet [i.E. Get Up Get off (Alternate version) ] ... it´s a silly download, there´s no package, no cover, just an unloving dead piece of music file of 5MB you can listen to. Nothing to collect, nothing to put into your rack.

I´m one of those people who likes to go into a music store to buy a piece of music you can hold in your hand.

I don´t wanna have i.e. only a prodigy album in 2018 which is only available via download - that´s the thing I don´t wanna experience in my life. Music needs a physical place, too - not only a digital one.

AND it will make some topics here absurd. Guess, how photos will look like in topic "Show Off you Prodigy Collection Part 9" - there will be only screenshots of your HDD....

Actually, I think 99 percent of people feel this way. Unfortunately, a quickly-moving world is making it difficult for people to use physical music. I mean, I have a few vinyl records, and there's nothing cooler than putting it on the player and moving the needle. But... how am I supposed to take that experience on the road with me, or when I go running? Plus, vinyl degrades, CDs scratch(easily), but mp3's remain perfect forever (if you don't lose the files).

...nah. music piracy wouldn't be a problem if only 1% of people were willing to steal music.

not everyone has such a consumerist mentalitiy that they enjoy buying tangible objects. I get almost nothing out of purchasing a CD, there is some satisfaction there, which is kind of sickening, as it is a sympton of living in such a commercial society, but mostly I ignore it.

So yeah, I'm happy to see The Prodigy doing digital downloads.

I'm just saying, mp3s can't be damaged.

But yeah yeah, nothing is perfect  There is no right or wrong. Existence is meaningless, yadda yadda.

think most people here are that way.... BUT if I can download metallica, the verve or w/e .... I ain't buying it. Other people that like Prodigy but can't afford or aren't that into Prodigy won't even buy the new album. So in a way it's a good move from Liam to give us this as a teaser.

2 more days ya'll :P
