dirtyRotter wrote: its not a touch on diesel power, don't be ridiculous. The tone is totally different for one thing, diesel power has a much better structure and progression and way more atmosphere and all the samples sit well in the track.
In this remix the samples feel plonked in and don't sit that well with the rest of the track.
Its not the worst thing I've ever heard i'd just rather listen to the original track, If you like it cool knock yourself out, but you cant say its on a par with Diesel power thats fucking retarted.
I didn't say it sounded like Diesel Power or on Par so read it again,
I said its similar in structure and influence.. so its a straight up hip hop banger
The samples on this fit perfectly, its a simple heavy loop used over and over... oh just like Diesel Power
Simple track, nothing more nothing less but you have had 13 years to listen to Diesel Power and 3 days for this

As i said on the LP tour announcement, this is just promotion for the US market.
by the way, you can get both versions for free from the Quietus:
Quote: All hail The Prodigy! Liam Howlett had decided to improve everyone's Friday afternoon, by giving the remix treatment to Jay-Z's '99 Problems'.
There are two versions of the track available to listen to: you can get the 'Instrumental' version by clicking here, as well as the enticingly titled 'Dirty' version by clicking here.

This does work better as an instrumental, I think my problem with the remix with vocals is that the original is vary sparse and suits being that way.
Spitfire is the original 99 problem remix anyway

I see all 3 version are now on: -
http://soundcloud.com/theprodigy/sets/99-problems-1/
If you point at the downward facing arrow on each track it says "The track has reached its download limit". Were these actually available to download at some point rather than just listen? I'd be gutted if I missed that.

AFAIK they were never available to download from that soundcloud account, however they were available from NME, The Queitus etc (google them)
alternatively, you can 'offliberty.com' them from that soundcloud account (128kbps only)
