@gcx
It seems like a good experience ! I can't try that, I don't drive. BBT is a funny joke (which occupies 1 place out of 10, it can displease seen like that...).

This album is doing something unexpected: growing on me.
It's the first Prodigy album with few tracks to blow me away on first listen - instead they seem to be taking a bit of a hold of me.
Usually a Prodigy album has 3 or 4 stormers which, when they come around in an album playthrough, make you drop everything and lose yourself in them. This only has one that's close to that, which is WLF.
But the better tracks are definitely improving a bit the more I listen.
I'll have a new review in due course I think!
(still the worst Prodigy album of the lot but maybe not as awful as I feared)

this is definitely Liam's fastest album since experience, in terms of BPM.

I think upon reading this thread my belief that these are growers (or shrinkers), and require extensive analysis for true value to show is coming true. I guarantee our ratings for the tracks and this album WILL change and slowly stabilize in 3-6 months from now. Shuffling away between albums will make us realise how much we actually enjoy (or dislike) tracks on No Tourists. I think reviewing now is subjective. Reviewing now is like trying to rate the quality of a language upon hearing it first-hand and knowing some words to speak it. Listen to both songs you like as well as the ones you don't like. Ignore the lyrics. Try to find flaws, and you'll soon discover details you didn't know were there which bring the track to life. COL and FFWF are such cases, but more on that in my future review. These are my thoughts and non-compulsory advice upon reading this thread.
My own first listen ratings for the tracks changed dramatically in 24 hours of listening, and I'm glad I didn't do a first listen review, because I would have regretted it immediately.
I'll do the review mid next-week most likely. Until then, one thing is certain, this album is a freak.

Lead track reminds me of hip hop soundtrack albums for 90's movies (Judgement Night, etc.)

I really don't get the negative opinions on the album in this thread. I am a huge fan of Liam's music since forever and find the following positives which make this on par with AONO as best album after FOTL: - Liam is brave to experiment again - no boundaries, no template-y songs, just pure experimentation - some really bad tracks that might grow on me in time, but ALSO SOME OF THE BEST ONES SINCE FOTL - breakbeat - only 2 songs in which Prodigy pretend to be a "rock band" with 2 vocalists in it (you know what I mean) compared to a lot of this approach in TDIME and IMD
Overall. I can't be happier with an album and Liam has brought me old memories how I used to shiver the first time I hear a track (Resonate... Timebomb... Gimme a signal...)

My thoughts, coming from a guy who's first album was fat if the land, then jilted then experience,
Experience being my 2nd favourite after fat
Now with that in mind
This is my 3rd favourite album. The singles rock. Timebomb is killer (it's also way better than warriors dance which I see it being compared too, I did not like warriors dance).
I find comments about be being loopy strange, that's electronic music and I thought Liam did keep things interesting in this effort, nothing here sounds overly repetitive to me, track times probably help.
Highlights are timebomb zone, light up the sky (I have no problem with structure like others seem too) we live forever. Skipabke tracks champions of London (I just can't click with this track)
Tracks I'm on the fence on but not hitting the skip button on, no tourists (do I hear gabba here?) , resonate, give me a signal.
In terms of experimental tracks which normally a bit miss for me, Boom boom tap is better than expected, need some1 is great, fight fire with fire is also good track, I am a big fan of we hate everyone sound
And I do recommend listening in the car
Context of album rankings
Fat Experience Tourists Jilted Invaders Aono The day is my enemy

Liam and the chipmunks. Grab the bulletproof vest! First time i listened to Champions of London it sucked, now its growing alot. I just wish it got arranged better. Honestly, MANY tracks of this album ends with good beats that should have been in the MIDDLE of the track! LIKE NEED SOME1! And Boom Boom Tap sounds like a track straight from Fat era. And i still wish Timebomb zone was a little bit longer. It ends so fast. Man. Its like hearing Break and Enter for just 2-3 minutes. POSITIVE, BIG POSITIVE THING about this album is that it got ENERGY like the live tracks. ENERGY which The Day lacked. PLEASE LIAM, can you rerelease Colours, Omen, Rokweiler, Get Your Fight On, etc remastered to have the energy?

The legacy Liam and the rest created is quickly evaporating. They are becoming a parody of themselves. I'd hate to think the younger fans think this album and the others post AONO are what they are all about. This new one is dreadful, really amatuerish, not one single track is stand out, they all just merge into one big mess. They need to stop making music now. I read someone on here thought it's better than Jilted, that's enough for me. Shocking stuff. What a shame they've become so bad.

had my first listen this morning. think i must have been the only one on here not to have gotten a leak or whatever the fuck..
on the whole I think its good, but no major surprises for me.... Liam has been using these same sounds for the past 3 albums now. I hear lots of reused sounds and parts....I like the no tourists track, we live forever is a future classic, timebomb zone is also very good (shite name though)...the last track is good but sounds like the 303 is there for the sake of it, it isnt really bedded into the track enough for me and the synth reminds me of 2006/07 electro, that perfect exceeder track sprung to mind with princess superstar.....i imagine that boom boom tap vocal is probably something he saw when his little lad showed him the video of that kid too...cant personally see Liam finding that on his own but you never know?!
but the thing that stood out to me the most was champions of london...sounds like its using that eddy cochran synth and lots of leftover parts from run with the wolves, including a keith scream... i love the title 'champions of london' but not sure the vocals backed up the strength of that title. it feels a bit like the same idea has been recycled a few times now; warning, run and now this. again not a bad thing per say, but probably the most rehashed song in terms of ideas and sound on the album.
but thats only first impressions. i like alot of whats going on, it sounds more linear than past albums, the tracks have a less crowded feel. the last album just felt like they tried to make it too hard in places with banging kick drums and such, this feels like a little step backward from that psuedo-angry style and thats a good thing to my ears.
didnt think we would still be getting prodigy albums in 2018 so kudos to the boys

I read someone on here thought it's better than Jilted, that's enough for me. Shocking stuff. What a shame they've become so bad. Well i have to agree that the album tracks are a bit messy for this album in the order, but why do all the negative comments always have to end up with "They need to stop making music now"? If they had stopped in AONO, i wouldnt have heard tracks like Take me to the Hospital, Warriors' Dance, Omen Reprise, Nasty, The Day including DOPE DOD remix, Destroy, Medicine, Ibiza Instrumental, Wall of Death, Light up the Sky, We Live Forever, Timebomb Zone, Resonate and Give me a Signal and put them on my personal fav track lists. Edit: forgot Mescaline and Invaders Re-amped. Yeah some tracks might be pure shit for some, but once you dive into it, youll find some treasure chests down there. This is coming from me whos first album was Jilted "because i needed to embrace good songs from a band from a dying era" (tho thankfully they are still around), and i am 28 now, i got the Jilted sounds into my head as a child:) Give me a Signal gave me the same chills as Claustrophobic Sting did to me when i was a kid, thats a good sign. But again, the rest of the opinions, i can agree with in some degree. Some tracks feel a bit meh. I bet he didnt have much time to do them. Maybe its these tracks who puts the reviews at low. Im actually thinking about Boom Boom Tap, No Tourists and Champions of London. Boom Boom Tap is boring and should have been thrown far far away, No Tourists is kinda slow and nothing happens, i mean the lyric lines are bomb, it could have been repeated more often?. You expect the track for the title to be very energistic and blow you away. Champions of London, which is growing for me, could have been done better maybe. You know what, maybe i expected too much about "champions of London". The name sounds like something really clever, something that would blow the rest of the world away. But its just a line. I dont understand how or why they decided to just make a song about "champions of London". I expected that this track would blow the faces of everyone. The reason is because when i heard We Live Forever, my face got blown off. We are the Prodigy, this is our roots, and it will live forever. I thought Champions would be a part 2 of it or something. I couldnt think of anything of how the track would be like. Champions of London. Yup its just a line repeated for no reason, unlike We Live Forever.
