hye man dont take it personla its just my opinion on ittall
give it a year or so and i bet you wont hear anyhting by the artic monkeys
like i said i think alot of people like them cos fsshion tells them to ive seen loads of these new indie type kids and rockers saying they were into guns nr oses n shit when they were younger when they totally werent i ,
and where u get the idea i think prodigy is just for goths and rockers
im 29 mate i know the score and how different all prodigy fans are,
and on that note answer me a question what good points does this artic monkeys drunmmer have i saw joey jordison play for metallica and korn aswlll as slipknot and the murder dolls and his drum kits aint small
all i see in the artic monkeys drummer is just another drummer for an indie band thats all nothing special sorry to say that

i don't weanna enter in your discussions, but cogglesz is only saying that the arctic monkeys drummmer collaboration with the prodigy is because his way to play drums is more near to the sound of the prodigy than a heavy metal drummer and i agree wih him, also because we're not talking about tastes as i said before.

prodigy has much more groove and funk in their drums than let's say metallica. I'm not saying that a metal drummer isn't capable to produce such beats but the arctic monkey's drummer seems just more fitting

seems like a good enough option to me. He is a good drummer, no one can deny that. He's young, enthusiastic and like someone said before Liam knows what he's doing. The proof is in the pudding as they say

remember this is the same guy who made a fuckn brilliant song (spitfire) with a C-List actress who nobody knew could sing. If Liam wants to use the artic monkeys drummer let em.

i totally agree
all i was tryiong to say was the guys who ive mentioned have played on reaally big drumkits compared to his and probably have more experience but yeah youre right probbably his style would fit the prodigy more having thought about it

fucking hell, i havnt heard anything about this album like everybody but i am not confused. now as much as AONO grown on me in the past 4 odd years. with AONO i read about film stars singing on it with no maxim+ keef, unknown people who you have never heard of like that dirt candy, wackos thriller samples being used etc
all a bit weird ....when i didnt hear anything 4 yearr ago i thought what the hell.
Now i read about great drummers, maxim and keith on tracks the album is going to sound fast big and mean, liam saying this should of been called always outnumbered never outgunned etc it just all feels right.

I'm pleased to hear this, the Monkeys are a quality band, if not to everyones tastes, but it's unlikely it will be a full 'prodigy featuring the arctic monkeys' style track. Liam always chops up everything he records, guitars, drums, vocals etc so I suspect he's only looking for new sounds to play with! Even musicians the calibre of Jim Davies and Kieron Pepper get their recordings sliced up and fucked about with! There'll most likely be snippets of Arctic Drums (good track title......if Howlett reads this and uses it i'll want royalties ) rather than full sections on the track, or tracks, he finishes. Either way it sounds like he's on a roll and whenever the album comes out it will be worth waiting for.

Oh really?
Hmmm, yeah, I suppose Liam is going to get him to play what Liam wants, but usually when a band does a collab, the other band will have a say in how it goes so I'm feeling there might be an Arctic Monkeys twist on the collab.
