That's the plan for me as well. I won't be satisfied until I have the real thing in hand. I'm going purchase the album no matter what, but until then, like most of you, I'll wait for a leak.
Prodigal, the album will probably arrive 10 to 15 days (at best) after it's Feb 23rd release. Those living in the UK and Ireland will be the only ones who will receive it on the day of it's release, unfortunately. The rest of the world are going to have to wait a day or two...that is, if you guys ordered from the Prodigy shop. American fans, however, are getting the short end of the stick as we have to wait a whole two weeks before the album even gets released in our country, and those U.S. fans who shelled out the dough for the record from the shop are probably looking at a week and half wait before they get it in the mail.
For example, I live in the U.S., like you, prodigal, and I ordered a few t-shirts from the shop a day ago, I won't get 'em for about two weeks. If you get the album on the 23rd of February, let me know, man...seriously...I'll totally buy from the shop next time.
I'm not at all complaining here, I'm really psyched about the new album, the vibe of the new tunes...they're massive! Very much looking forward to it! I'm just saying that, at this point, it is what it is, y'know?

Bought my copy from the Prodigy store and it has a dispatch date of 2/23/2009 with standard shipping, which if I remember correctly, would take 2 weeks to arrive. At least I get some stickers or whatever.

yeah i know right
but i really don't wanna download any more tunes and listen to the actual CD when it comes...
and i definitely don't wanna come to the boards and listen to you UK bastards raving about something i can't hear for another two to three weeks.
the shipping cost more than the actual boxset, so it better get here quick. i can't see how they can charge that price and expect you to be cool with a 2 week wait, nah fuck that.

Looks as if The Prodigy have a new American distributor: R.E.D Distribution
(they've handled American distribution fior bands like NIN and Radiohead and the like). Get this, 12th Street Records is jazz label...can you imagine a sonic battering-ram like The Prodigy fitting in with frickin' jazz??
Also, the tracklisting for the American release is no different from that of the UK--11 tunes, standard. Kinda was hoping for a bonus track like we had gotten with the American release of AONO back in '04...still could happen. If not, oh well.
Seems as though that the Amazon page link from the first post is being updated quite frequently, now lets just hope that release date gets pushed forward...
I'm with you, Neorev, I don't want to download a leak either, really...I want the real thing...kinda spoils it if you do that y'know what I mean? Did that with AONO and still picked up the record, but my anticipation and excitement was totally wrecked as I had heard the tunes months before the release of the album. Leaks kinda suck...now that I think about it, I'm not downloading anything more. I'm just going to wait for the American release in March.
And yes, I agree, those shipping prices are insane!

Yeah, I found out early this morning that the new US release date is March 3rd. Hopefully they push it forward again to February 24, but it's good news nonetheless.

...from the email I got from Digital Stores Limited today
Edward Sleigh wrote: We will dispatch your order a few days prior to the release date so hopefully you should receive the order on or very close to the actual release date.
...though, I'm thinking a huge package like that (IMD Box with the vinyls and everything, Omen single and a t-shirt) might take a bit longer than a few days to arrive state-side...we'll see
