They're much much worse.....
They only like bands when they are new and "cool" onc emore than about 50 people like them bands suddenly become shit. Except Morrisey. Fuckign shoegazing cunts!

Cheers Jim, a credit to you man.
Now, on to the matter at hand. This Tim Carter can fuck off for a start. Since when have NME had anything remotely credable to say about anything other than emo-fuelled, plastic pseudo-rock and indie shite that quite frankly deserves nothing more than a ''fuck off - I'm bored!!!''???
OK, sorry, I'm a little obnoxious when it comes to Prodigy, as some of you will notice, and probably increasingly notice over the next few months (providing I don't neglect this site!).
Guys, am I the only one (pretty damn sure I'm not) that honestly sees other bands as almost null and void? Perhaps it's my arrogance and my love of the energy and the way I feel about The Prodigy. Simply put, who was the last band that were worthy and capable of harnessing an energy and LIVE drive that The Prodigy have...even in the last 20 years?...No one, and I genuinely embrace Keith's stance on this....do we really give a shit where WE as fans, let alone the name sake of our beloved band stands? I fucking don't...fuck em.
Yes NME, keep churning out the commodity of new-age indie-rock and all the cheese from the likes of McFly-esque-My Chemical Romance trash and glady praise it, but for the love of god, don't ask a stupid question like ''Out of place?'' and expect us fans to remotely even respect you, let alone read your shite.
I once told a friend, that hardcore prodigy fans are a little like Marines: you stand together, you fight togther and you make sure you die together.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I happen to take pride in my arrogance as a Prodigy fan and that's the way I (and I'm sure WE all) like it.
PEACE
P.S. Sorry chaps, needed to get that little blighter off my chest!

Haha nice one Mick, I agree with the majority of your points. I don't think of other artists as nul or void though, that's taking it a stage too far. When you become oblivious to other music and other people's tastes you become.... well a dickhead I suppose.
But maybe that's what being a prodigy fan is all about? Being a dickhead? the band certainly promote that view.

Ahh Fifer, said out of context to be honest mate. Of course other bands aren't really rendered null and void......heck, I've an eclectic taste, ranging from leftfield, underworld, all the way to Bach and Roussini. But, principly, when it comes to the ''energy'' nothing comes remotely close to Prodigy, especially live. Though, Foo Fighters were quite remarkable

Yea man I see what you're saying. In my mind no live act comes close to the prodigy. I hold the opinion that they are the greatest live act on earth, RATM comming a close second.
