finding a film studio, doing a proper montage, color correcting of every frame, synching video from few cameras with audio, re-recording some parts in studio (everyone does that, believe me), mastering. it's shitload of work because noone would buy dvd if it looked like some lousy festival footage. video has to be bright and clear and audio should be mastered in 5.1.

oh, i have forgotten the most obvious one - record label schedule.

I'm just curious: what takes so long? once u got the recorded material, you design a menu and a cover artwork and there you go, arent you?

you have to direct the recorded material. if you have recording by 10 or more cameras, you have to direct which camera you will select for every second of the video. this takes a LOT of time.
designing menus and covers doesn't take a lot of time i guess.
+ there is production time in the end.

hm, I thought its directed already at the recording. I mean when u watch a gig live on television, they also deal with ten or more cameras and all.

They should've just said soon, that would mean about a year, but saying very soon, well it kinda gives false hope. I'm thinking early next year, first quarter just about covers very soon in Prodigy terms...

How did Duggers win best video award if he hadn't even finished it yet???

Surely the bulk of it had been done by then. That was quite a while ago.

They probably finish just TMTTH to present what final product will look like.

The title of the upcoming dvd/blu-ray is:

The Prodigy - Take Me To The Hospital (Live At Milton Keynes Bowl)

It isn't just the track title, that's the whole live upcoming dvd's title.
Dugdale didn't win the award for just the tmtth track.

maybe they wont even bother doing it anymore, i'd have thought it would be done by now, duggers is a professional at what he does, i don't think it has anything to do with prodigy being delayed time and time again, i'm not sure.

I don't know why they won that award either, i thought that the dvd had to be out before it could actually win anything, like an album or a single for example, i wonder why its taking so long

I think this information is not official confirmed. Or is it?
I personally think that it's working title or something, but who knows.

my imagination would say that Duggers won award for live coverage at Milton Keyns, but this DVD/Blue-ray won't be only Milton Keyns 8-)

yeah, the NIN blu-ray took about a year before it was released and that didn't have as many camera as Prodge's. It takes time and I expect it'll be early 2011 which will help tide us over for the new album which we probably won't see until 2012. Plus it'll give them something to promote for their mini US tour. But yeah it usually takes about a year for a quality DVD release and not some rushed BS.
