I remember a Prodigy interview from the early 00's where they described themselves like a three legged stool, kick a leg of the stool off and they all fall over.

It's not like he didn't tell us he'll do it: Quote: Flint had spoken candidly about his drug use and battles with depression, claiming 'when I'm done, I'll kill myself'.
In an interview with FHM in 2015, he said: "I’m not saving up for anything. I’m cashing it all now.
"I’ve always had this thing inside me that, when I’m done, I’ll kill myself.
"I swear to God that’s not suicidal – it’s definitely a positive thing. The moment I start s******* the bed is when you’ll see me on the front of a bus.
"I just want to look back and know that I’ve lived what I consider a fulfilled life."
In another interview with The Times he hinted that he had considered taking his own life.
He said: "I got bang into coke, weed, drinking a lot. This made me reclusive, boring and shallow.
"I'd line up rows of pills and just take them and take them and I'd lose track of how many until I passed out.
"But you need a lot of balls to kill yourself. I was a coward." He planned this. He wanted this. He ended it as they were peaking, with gigs booked around the world for the whole 2019. He made The Prodigy not fade away, he made The Prodigy go out with a bang against Liam's and Maxim's wish to continue. And left us wanting more. Not many bands can say that after so many years of performing. A huge bang. As they always did.

This is my current coping mechanism man, I can't deal with this otherwise right now. Sorry, I don't mean to upset anyone. Just pointing out that he might have prepared for this and maybe he saw a victory in this. It might obviously be a stupid coping mechanism, which it probably is. It still went out with a bang, though, everything I pointed out as the band leaving us (and non-fans) wanting more as opposed to fading out is still valid. Granted, they probably would not have faded out rather than simply disbanding it eventually. It's a horrible day today. I have crossreferenced my coping mechanism with this quote from Hunter S Thompson which he left before killing himself, which made me think about Keith that he might have thought like this as well: Quote: “No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun — for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax — This won't hurt”
― Hunter S. Thompson" Anyway, we will probably never know the true motive behind this tragedy. RIP Keith. Rave in Power.

I’m finding it really difficult to stop thinking about Keith today. Like many others, the band were a huge part of my teenage years and still absolutely love them to this day 20+ years later.
I had a ticket for the last ever show in Auckland but couldn’t go and sold it. This makes me very sad.

Feels like losing a friend
Thank you Keef for some of the best times over the years

Yesterday I couldn't find the words to express how I feel. Being the "biggest Prodigy fan" most of my friends know, I had to cope with the barrage of text messages from many people. Couldn't get any work done.
Today I woke up feeling like all this was a bad dream. Only I knew it wasn't. My heart is heavy as Keith's suicide sinks in.
Many of you wrote such beautiful things that reflect my own feelings and experience with the band and Keith, so I find it redundant to write more of the same. It's also still too hard.
I implore you not to judge each other or argue on this thread. Different people have different coping mechanisms. I'm sure no one means to be disrespectful.

The boys and his family need their time, but also in a lesser extend, we must also pick up our pieces, part of our childhood died as well. And start preparing for the inevitable that comes next. Hugs to everyone here.

I am quite depressed right now. Woke up tody and the first thing I thought about was Keith.
It feels like a part of my world died. I loved to listen to their albums since Jilted. My whole childhood and adult life.
Rip.
