I hope he's changed it since he played it live in Manchester, had the flattest reaction and didn't really do much for me... quite average for Liam so surprised to see it as a lead single

Yeah, let's wait and see if it will be different when it airs. Maybe longer, maybe added lyrics, we'll see.
I'm not keeping my hopes up, but we never know.
In its current state, it is a weird choice for a lead single... Can't disagree with that.
Let's hop on that bus when it gets here.

In any case, it would be a good album filler and new stuff is great whatever happens.

Surprising choice for a single since it feels more like a bonus track or an album filler.

On the other hand maybe they wanted to try something different and not choose the obvious "strong Prodigy album opener" type track like Resonate as the first single.

I remember being underwhelmed by Invaders Must Die single when that debuted. A few people felt the same about Nasty. I prefer this one over both. Horses for courses innit.

It's a different band now. Different fans, different ways of communicating, many things have changed, which was probably foreseeable. While some bands get more clever, less mainstreamy and too niche for their own good after the years have passed, The Prodigy go the other way. Most things have become simpler and long, atmospheric soundscapes and (musically, not in terms of licensing) risky sampling have gotten replaced with more repetitive melodies. It probably still has some sort of relevance but it sure has been greatly simplified compared to their earlier material. Interestingly, their interviews reflect this as well. I think they went full punk and "I don't care" and kind of laugh about the more intellectual aspects of music creation. Things have to bang. Basta.

Is the single cover a number plate off the bus? Looking forward to later tonight when we get the full video.

I'm going to block your messages, you criticize Liam. That is NOT possible. BANGERZZZZZ YA KNOW????

well, really, I share your opinion, I remember Liam's interviews pre-2001 and he was in the same league as Orbital, Future Sound Of London, etc...but with his own unique sound, he looked more clever in a way, now (well, not now, since 2006-ish) he seems like he doesn't care about details anymore, even though he still has made good tunes, but I wonder what the LH of 1994 would say to this lazy and inferior version of himself.

GIFs and JPGS and PNGs and TIFs!

Hopefully we'll get many, many more once NS1 gets played in less than an hour.
