I need to listen to the album for another week straight to get a firm grasp on it. Early faves are Rebel Radio, Destroy, Rok-Weiler and Get Your Fight On. I really dig Rise of the Eagles too! The way it starts with the helicopter noise like TDIME's ending is interesting, check my last post for a gift

One thing I've wanted to say but haven't yet : I can't remember knowing one of my favourite bands release a couple of albums that I wasn't into as much, and then come back so strongly (I usually just go off them and stick to older stuff.) This album is just insanely good. I love parts of FOTL but this is probably my favourite album since MFTJG, purely because it's got so many different types of songs and is to me more experimental. That's the key for me as well I think, that it's more experimental, I really don't get into bands that stick to a formula. When I heard the songs that have been released so far officially, I thought we were due for more of the same, but at least with an improvement in quality. To hear this though, which I'm currently addicted to listening to, is just beyond anything I was expecting.
Well done Prodigy, and thankyou, it's been well worth the wait.

after 5 listens from start to finish I've heard something different every time. Played it on my phone, through my desktop 5.1 and my laptop and I must say it sounds different on all , now I just need to play it in the car's 1200w system. All the singles we've heard before sound so much better on the album and fit perfectly. Rhythm bomb is the only track I feel is the weakest but I haven't played it in the car. My suggestion for those who aren't happy with parts of the album really need to find ways of hearing the album differently (and in lossless quality) and if you still don't like it guess not much more can be done than seeing them live, and speaking of live I must say "Destroy" and "Nasty" sounds so much better live , whereas I think the other tracks I heard sound way better on the album now, overall extremely happy with the album and hope it gets the attention it deserves. I'm not going to rate the album or tracks yet until my official copy arrives (surprisingly its in the post already I got tracking info on it today so I may get it before or by Friday<---don't know if the leak has caused this?)

Whoever says it is, needs to have their brain re-arranged Half of the album is really good so I guess that's OK in my book. Pleasant surprises: RokWeiler, Medicine, Invisible Sun, Destroy, Rebel Radio. Invisible Sun sounds like a collab between Massive Attack and Kasabian. Why the hell Rebel Radio wasnt released as a first single is beyond me. And I dont even mind the re-hashed Firestarter snares. Why would u mind the snares? The beats of Rebel radio are the best since Fotl era The beats of Rebel radio are pretty much the same as in TFOTL Thank you.

OK, so I just came back from 7 mile run and the album served as a pretty good motivator.
Some verses really remind me of Pitchshifter but it's a pretty wide array of influences in this album. I still think it s a bit too much to take it all in. So far, I can say its better than IMD, but then again IMD had 3 good tracks on it. I just hope this album doesnt wear off as quick as the last one.
Also, did anyone expect Rok Weiler to sound like that? I cant make up my mind on it. Its somehow wicked and the vocals are incredibly mental but is that bass a tad over-compressed? Am I hearing things?

Second banger is Destroy = destruction from start to finish, love it Can't take Medicine seriously at this stage, that sample is too Bulgarian and I associate with a completely different music so I think it's going to take time

Am I hearing things? I kinda hear what you're saying, but I'd wait to hear it in official lossless quality before fully judging. As I said earlier, anyone downloading the split MP3 version is getting an already compressed file (iTunes average 256kbps quality) and compressing it again to re-render it as a VBR MP3... NOT GOOD for audio quality. MP3 compression eats away at the low end and high end of the audio spectrum along with any kinda spatial/room/atmosphere elements. Compression squashes/crushes frequencies together causing loss of audio information and generally sucking the life out of the track. So before I can properly 100% judge the production, I must wait on a true lossless download to come along. Even if you bought the iTunes m4a file, it averages only at 256kbps... highest MP3 is 320kbps. I'm sure many here can agree when Wall Of Death leaked, the official 320kbps sounded loads better than the leaked 192kbps MP3... that's how big of a difference audio can sound with just different MP3 bitrates, it's loads better when you move into uncompressed/lossless territory.

NEOREV, where about can we get lossless playback, I've already bought the record through iTunes, will buy the official release as well, do you recommend a lossless converter or player in order to get the most out of TDIME? Thanks, bro!

Now that you mentioned it, I tried listening to the two versions of WoD (320 from website and itunes version) and things will tend to expand a little bit better on the 320 version

Love that lyric from Ibiza, that goes something like :
Straights are 8 quid a packet, fuck that I'm on the 'baccie mate!
At first I really dismissed that song, but now actually like it. I still think it's one of the weakest on the album, mainly because it's just not my style as much as several of the others. I don't actually think it's a "bad" song, but even that one is growing on me. Insanely good album if I can enjoy listening to one of the songs that I'm not into as much as almost any of the others.
I know that some of us go over the top and that we need to let an album have a while before it sinks in, but I truly think that I feel as good listening to this album as I've felt after listening to anything else in this decade. It's just amazing. Still can't believe it, for years I'd just kind of accepted that The Prodigy were one of those bands that I used to love, and that now they just weren't what they used to be. That's changed in a big way over the last 24 hours, and it feels amazing.

Now that you mentioned it, I tried listening to the two versions of WoD (320 from website and itunes version) and things will tend to expand a little bit better on the 320 version Yeah, that's iTunes crumby audio quality variable bitrate averaging out at 256kbps with their audio quality. Going from 256 to 320kbps doesn't look like much, but it is when it comes to quality. Pretty much online radio is set at 128kbps... perhaps 192kbps if you're lucky. the highest you can go with MP3 is 320 a 16 bit WAV is 1411kbps... 24 bit WAV is 2117kbps... those are big differences in bitrate from a measly 320kbps FLAC has a way of compressing data without losing audio quality... it's pretty magical but a FLAC is a way of having the same audio quality of WAV with a smaller file size (for the folks that complain the files are too large) so a 16 FLAC fluctuates depending on the track's length and other elements of the song... so they are usually around 800-1100kbps (compared to the full uncompressed 16 bit WAV maxed at 1411kbps) 24 bit FLAC is usually around 1500-1800 (compared to the full compressed 24 bit WAV maxed at 2117kbps)

Does anyone else get an uplifting positive feel from most of these tracks? There definitely aggressive and violent but I wouldnt say their dark either. Wild frontier, roadblox, rhythm bomb, rebel to name some. Dark ones would be TDIME, nasty, medicine, rok ?

One more thing that I forgot to say! I was on here because I was trying to work out (I hadn't registered yet.) when, and not if, the album would leak. So last night I was like "there's over 7 billion people on this planet and not one of them has managed to leak this album yet?" I thought it was just fucking sad to be honest, and that as a race, we were clearly having more than enough problems. So I woke up yesterday and found that you were on about how good you thought the album was, etc. Basically just wanted you to know that I shared your pain, and also a thanks, because this was the first place where I found out that it had leaked! Ok, back to the album. edit : and yes, I'm planning on buying it asap to support the band.
