i think your totally wrong saying they cant choose videos or have creative input..bollocks

liked that clip, nice idea - reminded me of a tool video, too but this is not as psychedelic like tool-vids.
for me the three boxes are liam, keith and maxim, they bring the audience to burn with their music.
Good but not the best one - nothing beats smack my bitch up

Quote: Sunday, 5 April 2009 Prodigy 'Warriors Dance' Boo ya.
Directed by Corin Hardy, shot and lit by our Stu, I did some production shit (although the credit really goes to Lucy Kelly) and Magee did a heavy 'making of'... will post up when its done and delivered. I was told this was going to have some exclusive TV premiere next week but I guess its ok to post it now, as its already on youtube.

errrr look above...also look at the footage on the electronic punks video at poison and voodoo people and the imput liam gives and how him and walter work in videos, even with firestarter, you can see liam's intensity and wanting it to look right,,,, to say they dont have any pull in what goes out is bollocks..thats the main reason they have never signed to a major label because they want creative control on all levels, they dont want record companies controlling their image and releasing videos they dont want...

You mean the blog from evans' post? I dont see how that would be liam.
And offcourse liam will be an active critic in the videos in which the band itself plays a role, but that doesnt mean he has a say in when the job is done. Influence perhaps, but that could come from anyone at the set.
Where do you reckon liam was during the making of hotride? Why was ther a finished video that at last stage got rejected? If he was involved in the process the video will have not even been finished. Artists give the order to make a video, but the video is a product of the director. Why would there otherwise be dvds of directors?
Also, liam said in a recent interview that they never wanted to make a best-off album themselves, but where obliged to due to the contract with XL, so lets not blow up the autonomy of the band.

your saying they dont have any pull in anything to do with videos..i think thats bollocks..i think they do have some input whether in the video or not......im not saying they control of every single tiny element but the conscience choice of the record label they signed to now (cooking vinyl) more so than XL although they also have a good reputation as an independent label, shows that having artistic control is very important, also the take me to the hospital being their own label also is an important note..anyways we seem to disagree but respect to your opinion......

+1
Maybe when they first started this was the case, especially if you remember that Wind It Up and One Love were released as singles even though Liam wasn't too happy about it. They've got far too much influence to not have a say what does and doesn't get commissioned or not nowadays.
Oh, and the video is shite imo.
