One day later it sure sounds better. Yesterday I'd have probably given it 8/10, now it's more like 9/10.

I keep listening to this Prodigy track and couldn't get it out of my head at work today. It was quite off-putting! ...

I know exactly what you mean. I couldn't work properly the last couple of days, and I guess tomorrow would be no different with the video coming out. Hopefully my boss doesn't read this forum

So i voted: "Ok track"
...in this form, this is absolutely great opener(intro) song for the album, if i were the one who is making this album..
But if i liked to make this more like a single or other actual song for the album...i think it needs something more.... maybe some vocals from maxim/flinty...some little fx sounds in the background to twist it to a pure gem. Music video may change this into a superb song, it could be the missing link i'm not aware of yet.
I'm not worried at all after hearing this...there is the IMD(intro), WOF and WD in there. I'm just wondering how much different is the WD studio version comparing to live one...
Thanks for this nice free candy prodge...waiting for the whole album to get released.

Yeah that's what people said about The Salmon Dance and although i still dislike listening to it, the video is great and it made me enjoy the track a little more.
Btw has it been confirmed anywhere that IMD is gonna definitely be the first single from the album to be released? Cos the main reason that I'm a bit disappointed by it really is that I've been thinking that it's gonna be the only single we get before the album. I'll probably still buy it if I like the b side(s) tho (breaks remix of IMD please Mr H).
Than why are they realising a promo video to it? I dont think they would throw out that amount of money just to give us fans a taste.
Its their words ....But i think you misunderstood what " give the fans a flavour for the album" is ...
Its a single for the album, I know that. Its the opening track to whats going to be a great album. I can feel it. For me it like any single before an album ... it should and does get you interested in the forthcoming album. I think This track does just that ... Far enough some people are not feeling it right now ... a little disappointed and that.
Its like what all Prodigy tracks do. It sounds different to the the last .... People were not expecting this ... I can tell you. And it looks like it has divided people AGAIN!! just like what happened to AONO when Memphis Bells was available for a download. Then Girls. People were not feeling those tracks.
The Prodigy are like Marmite ... like someone has said before on this forum. Love um or hate um? Even for us fans ... Liam and co are not going to Please EVERYBODY! all of the time.
And besides ... do you think Liam would be bothered if some people are not into it?? Course not ... Its The Prodigy!! We do what the fuck we want!!
I have been reading alot of comments over the years on here. some of you might not think I have been so long due to amount of posts etc ... but you can honestly tell the True fans in here ... The ones who have been around and actually have good points and comments to make without being to hasty. Some people are too quick to say bad comments about this and that ... like I have said. You are entitled to your opinion. Good on you for doing so ... But this is a Good prodigy forum. lets keep it that way, and enough of the bitching ... If you honestly dont like this and that ... let me hear something from yourselves which can match the power of the The Prodigy or find something out there that does ... with out the artist trying too hard to sound like the Prodigy.

"we are the prodigy" is one of their greatest samples.
i mean keep in mind this is coming from the same guy who used the "i am the god of hellfire" sample and "charly says..." nuff said.
I love mega man soundtracks and i love the prodigy energy/vibe. IMD blends both of those perfectly. Liam PRODIGY ARE BACK. THIS IS THE ALBUM THAT AONO WAS MEANT TO BE. AONO was just a warm up for Liam to get his mojo back.

Yeah, that's one of the things I don't understand here... people wanted Prodigy to return to their roots but still make things fresh... and that's totally what they've done with this track. The synths are annoying, the samples are weird and annoying.... it's just like Experience-era Prodigy!
I love it.
Since when do Prodigy need to announce who they are during their songs?
They announced once "They were the Ruffest", Keith has also announced he's a firestarter of some sort.... they also went up up and away in a hot air ballon once.... the band allways had a tongue in cheek humour in their tracks, this is just another example in the Prodigy canon.... what pisses me off isnt the sinth... it's the absolute "flatness" of the track.. put this near Fasten your Seatbelts by Pendulum and the bass just pales in comparison...
oh and Mescaline aint on the album but THIS IS?

Having lived with this for a little while now, it's grown on me a bit.
The tune itself is pretty good, but I still think it lacks any bollocks; I can't stand the drums - they just sound like tacky D&B drum hits and it really puts me off the track. But the style of the track; a kind of up-to-date old skool rave vibe, makes me feel very positive for the album.
Problem is though, I shouldn't have to listen to a tune 50-fucking times to make up my mind as to whether or not I like it. Pre-AONO era, any Prodigy track that came along hit me immediately and gave me that 'I wish I wrote this' or 'how great would this sound live?' feeling. Since AONO I've missed that (except '05 Spitfire - that was great), so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Liam delivers in March.

Fuck me. In a nutshell......
This song is co-produced by Liam, with that other cunt from "does it offend you yeah?" or what ever! It's catchy, it's still the prodigy at heart but it's probably the most deliberatly commercial tune they've ever made! They have been away a long time + I think they lost more fans than gained with AONO. They need a hook for the commercial market too! I'd consider myself a hardcore fan, the more I play this track the more I like it. Seems like it could be a success to me!
