Ehm, the electro people who are supposed to be the "target group" for this new sound don't really seem to feel it: :-D

Yeah but who the fuck are these people ??? Target group ?? don't think so? What makes you think these are the target group? cuz it sounds electro ...

It sounds fuck all like electro, so what makes you say that?

I'm not saying its electro ?? it was the guy who I commented on ... he said that
The electro people ... who are supposed to be the target group.

I was asking a question of sorts ... Cuz it sounds electro ? I should have put a question mark on there... Sorry

its not electro as such .. but it comes under the electronic artist category. I think. But Prodigy all over it ...

:-D

oh and Mescaline aint on the album but THIS IS?

Mescaline has a much different tone than any of the IMD tracks we've heard so far. There's a strong chance that it was left off just because it didn't fit. The reviews seem to be saying that the album feels very complete, so expect all of the tracks to be like IMD and Warrior's Dance and such. Fast, cheesey, and fun :-D

Bullshit....

Warrior's Dance is exceptionally powerful....IMD is pretty cheesey though...

oh and btw.....listening to it loud in the car didn't really help....

It sounds like total Pendu-rock, whether you like it or not, there's no denying that.

come on man! whether you like it or not, is not as crap as Pendulum! They might be the worst electronic band ever (and I include Scooter in that comparison). IMD destroys Pendulum.

It's that cheesy Swire-synth. It ruins the track. If you'd just add in Rob Swire singing off key then you'd never know it wasn't a Pendulum tune. If they took out that synth it would be ok, but it totally loses the Prodigy's balls with that cheesy shit in it. And the "we are the Prodigy" sample is really cheese too. Since when do Prodigy need to announce who they are during their songs?

Again, compared to WOF and WD it's such garbage. Those tunes set the bar very high, and this doesn't come close to meeting those expectations.

Listen to the first 40 seconds of IMD, total prodigy. And then there's the high pitch catchy synth that no one expected, which makes it even better!

As for the "we are the prodigy" sample. It's cheesy, but the rest of the world thought the prodigy broke up in 1998...so maybe they do need to reintroduce them selves.

It totally sounds like Pendulum. If someone had posted this up a week ago and said "hey check out the new Pendulum track", nobody would have said "this doesn't sound like them, it sounds like Prodigy". You could argue Pendulum have based their sound a lot from the Prodigy, but that's what I always loved about Prodigy is that they wouldn't follow what was popular at the time. They released Girls before the whole Electro/Justice craze was in style.

I like the first 40 seconds. I like the Blade techno theme sounding loop. I wish the track focused more on that...

I FUCKING HATE that God awful cheesy Pendulum synth. Completely ruins the track and it's completely unnecessary. The tune doesn't need it. The little breakdown bit at 2:50 sounds wicked, hopefully in the non-radio edit that part is longer.

The vocal sample is still cheese. I hate announcing who you are in your own tune. All I think of is "my name is KIDDDDDDDDD ROCKKKKKKKKK"

Yeah, GIRLS was way ahead of the curve.....this opener seems a bit present-day.....fuck.....what about SPITFIRE? I'll never forget flying back into Anchorage from Boston, after AONO had just been released, and circling through the sky before landing through 2-3 mile high storm clouds that were just like huge pillars firing up with lightning! Spitfire rocking in the headphones....

EPIC!

It seems obvious (TO ME) that IMD is aimed at a new audience, that might be why it has that "WE ARE THE PRODIGY" sample in it.

First Listen - Unsure
Second Listen - Now I get the track
Now - Love it

Can't remember the last time I heard a prodigy track and loved it on my first listen. I think the problem with them is with a new track you have no idea of what you are about to hear when you first hit that play button. Take Metallica or AC/DC, um, nickelback, pretty much anything else and you know what you are about to hear before you hear it. You know the singer/vocalist, the sound of the guitars, the kind of beats, just about everything.

But with The Prodigy it could be anything... There are so many variables there and Liam could make the track have a Hip-Hop flavour, punk, or anything!

This tune is to get new fans for sure..

i've tried to read all post but stucked at 9th page. could anyone summarize what is in rest? lol

imd fall short of mine expectation. sure, its probably the weakest track on the album and that's why liam decided to give it for free. invaders wont bang the charts, wont be on top as breathe was and i wont hear it in polish radiostations. but i'm sure it will bang all gig... and thats what the prodigy really is, to bang the crowd :)

if the main aim of sharing of this track was whet the appetite, then it did it. can't wait the album

this track is ok :)

total disaster, someone said memphis bells or pheonix are worst than this, but as for me MB and Phoenix are masterpiecies of music comparing them to the IMD shit. Liam did a big fuckin poo on us, and sad is that most of fans are enjoying the taste of this poo:)

after a few listens i'm starting to think/hope that this is a scam to get all hopes down. it is over the top cheesy and flat so perhaps the album version will sound nothing like it.
