This Shadow from pgr4 gives me high hopes for the new album.
This is definetely one of the ' b side material ' tracks without Liam's typical lazyness.
There's alot of progression and clever soundtweaking going on throughout the whole track.
Compare this to tracks like 'molotov bitch' and 'who you're fooling', this track actually took alot of effort.

The PGR4 version is much more full on, I love it! Howlett's B-sides still crap on most bands A-sides!! (Think 'The Trick', 'Molotov Bitch', 'Mindfields Headrock Dub', 'No Man Army' etc). Either way I've a good feeling the new album is going to be good. Very good. VERY good. Probably excellent. :-D

Hello by the way - listen to Wolfen. We're good too.

right now only two "official" versions exist-

from the vexille soundtrack : 4'07"
ripped from pgr4 game promo and on chrysalis promo cd: 6'59"

everything else are various rips from promos, etc

we guys will need to remember this is a AONO demo track liam decided to finish off, im sure he kept alot of AONO feeling im tempted to say this is the new album mixed in with new album (Style wise) but the new album will be alot better than shadow because the new album is evoloution and thats what the prodigy do, weather it take 1 year or 20 years

To be honest, I don't understand how people can say that the longer version of Shadow is better than the shorter version... and they don't base this opinion on the length of the track. Both versions sound the same to me. Yes, one is longer than the other, but it's not that different. My opinion. I like Shadow myself, but both are the same to me.

It is not the same and it is obvious - it is quite rearranged and edited. The whole biuld up is way way better - that brings a lot of extra energy.

many differences, tweaks, cuts not done in the 3 minute mix. there's the bassline part that wasn't on the Vexille mix... plus a whole synth section that wasn't on it either. the bridge/quiet break is tweaked out/flanged and much better sounding.

and hey, "one love" full version is a hell of a lot better than the album edit version. just like how this track is. this track has some balls, even for an AONO era tune.

sure the album might be different, but this shows Liam is really tweaking out shit, which is always good.

I think this newer version makes the older one sound like a demo. I already liked the vexille version. But the PGR4 version just kills it in every way. I've tried listening to the original again but I just dont want to anymore, because I'm missing all the extras that are in the newer track.

To say they are the same track is like calling the original E.I.T.P. and Fairground mix exactly the same.

Well thats what I think.
