on second listen I like the synth intro and atmosphere of the track, think it would work better without a beat. The breakbeat feels repetitive and shoehorned in, would rather hear the melodies and synth played around with like Omen reprise. and yeah the bit reused from omen hasnt changed enough, basically the middle of omen stuck in there to fill time.

not sure what liams up to really, wheres the springboard track to launch the vibe of the album?

I love the day is my enemy, but its an intro not a massive single and Nasty is just a weaker version of breathe and Babys got a temper.

Think prodigy should call it a day and Liam should start collaborating with more interesting musicians and stop trying so hard to make 'bangin tracks'.

I'm still hopeful for the album but I think liams lost it as far choosing tracks to release as singles and pushing himself creatively. Hes treading water these days.

Dont understand the people saying that this is a "cheesy commercial" sound.

How is this tune anymore commercial than Out of Space or No Good? ??

Its hard to pin-point, but i agree that it sounds cheesy. Your examples are more than 20 years old, and still i think No Good sounds more badass than anything the prod has put out the last 10 years. Lyrics (not samples) going like "face your fear in the wild frontier" and "The writing is on the wall, it wont go away" are super cheesy imo. Its not far from clichés like "Keep it real", "What goes around", and "What doesnt kill you". Samples are a different thing because they are there because of the sound, not the message. But when you come up with your own lyrics, the contents become very apparent. I dont expect lyrical epiphanies, but they sound like cheesy life lessons rather than something that makes you rave. Other than that, i think the melodies sound simple and dated, and does not have any of the twists or quirks that the prodigy usually had. It is all very basic and accessible without any surprises.

Its like a sunday fry-up - fine but nothing special, and tastes a bit like something you ate two days ago.

poor..very poor..and lazy

recycled bits from omen no doubt a left over beat from the last album, a lazy uninspiring preset riff..

this just sounds like some goofball european's attempt at making a prodigy track in fruity loops..

an absolute parody..and a MILLION miles away from been a great prodigy track..

Liam howlett has absolutely shat from a great height on what was an unbelievable back catalogue of singles

File under : turd.

Yeah this track might be shit for people not liking the awesome Ninja Gaiden tunes :Firestarter:

Well, this is a fun little track that sounds like a 9 year old made it. Worse than I expected.

The video is kind of fun but the whole stuffed/dead animals shtick is fucking disgusting. Whoever thought this would be a good image for the band must be out of their mind.

Unfortunatelly, it's well said and I agree with you. :( Where is the Prodigy that had that real dirty darkness like in the 90s until 2002? The last badass moment was AONO, but after that something went really wrong.

In my other hand, I love IMD, but it's a different Prodigy, and I don't want another IMD.

For me, AONO was their worst moment... but to each their own.

So Tom_Foolery is up to 3 posts so far from joining a couple of days ago...
all of them just him mouthing off and just being negative.
he might have set the BK record for actual posts vs deleted posts ratio.

Hahahaaa seriously, no need for some trash in this thread. All his posts get deleted the guy is such a tool and a stalker he told NEOREV that he's been 'watching' his posts for years! Scary stuff.

Anyways, back to WF.
