Witness comments on an internet forum, with fans signing a petition to remove an album of modern remixes - notably, dubstep ones - of the band's commercial hits. "I don't want those remixes either," Howlett growls. "I wouldn't have put that out in the first place. It had nothing to do with me, and we didn't do any interviews or anything for it. I'm still friends with the people at XL Recordings, our old record label, but I didn't like it. Put out an album 'cos it was some 15 year anniversary or something? That's a record company statement, not the type of thing we do. I don't get too involved in reading forums - I used to read all the press about us years ago, but not anymore. But the fans don't need to worry. I'm with them on stuff like that, really. We know where we're going…"

Yo people ,XL Recordings are celebrating 15 years since the release of our Fat Of The Land album by re-releasing it and to make it special and give it weight we got behind it and got some killer new remixes done

'We got behind it and got some remixes done'.. 'I don't want those remixes either'.

hmm :) Ah well don't care about this album re-release anyway, I like the Noisia remix but all I want is new Prodigy music and more tour dates!

Liam's talking shit, he gets cash too and why tweet your support then? trying to distance yourself but still supporting it? I'm sure if he didn't have any involvement he would of been on the phone to Richard Russell telling him to remove his name from it all

Guess what, the band don't care about this release. Any promotion I've seen has been from the remixers and XL.

Liam is a liar, that has been a well established fact. I'm still gonna buy the album.

Everyone will too.

MJ's mix is not as bad as I imagined, since it's by diplo. the beginning is awful and the whole track would've been much better with switch on it as well. just a cash in for diplo stating himself as major lazer

bauuer remix could've been much better, such poor use of samples

noisia remains the best one.... others not mentioned are pure crap. never heard a decent remix of breathe which is a shame, it's such a powerful track. but maybe that's the thing..

The band have handpicked a group of artists to remix key tracks off the album with Noisia, Alvin Risk, Zeds Dead, Baauer, The Glitch Mob and Major Lazer all on remix duty.

was able to get my hands on a copy of the Alvin Risk remix, but it's only in 128kbps

it's alright... still sounds like he just threw Firestarter samples over an already made track

and pretty much that glitch electro dub sound that's popular these days
i've heard the term complextro being thrown around

There is a very good dubstep remix of breathe out there by Numbernin6, but if you don't like dubstep you will think it's garbage.
