My point. It's just rumours. It's not really news until it actually is in the store is it?
But by all means. I won't ruin your I think, I presume, I hope, In my opinion discussions But for me, this is not really news. Just a discussion about rumours.
And again, this is not made to offend anyone. Just my humble opinion

Well, this has been going on from the times of FOTL, not just AONO. He's not really lying, he's just trying to keep the buzz going so people have something to talk about. Its pretty obvious he's succeeding in it as well. There are topics and topics filled with comments, reminding people that the album is on the way. Its like a constant bug and a good marketing example as well. It doesnt really matter if this annoys you or anyone else, you still talk about it no matter what.

It doesen't annoy me or anything. i was just saying it maybe should be in a rumour section instead. I think everyone feels the buzz it is to actually know there is an album coming from the blokes again. I for my part can't wait! But when I hit the news section, I want to read news. Not just rumours and peoples thoughts about when it's due. That could be discussed in another topic\section\whatever

Sorry, that wasn't aimed at you specifically. I meant "you" as in anybody.

I think Liam loves feeding the monkeys (us)... I think it makes him laugh of how desperate we are.
Liam's point of view could be something like this:
(*Imagine an evil laugh of Liam in that picture*)

I agree, although this is news. People on here need to fucking sort themselves out and stop fucking knitpicking, there is other music out there funnily enough. If you arent happy about they way they do things fuck off. If you think this or think that keep it in the fucking opinions section and stop fucking clogging up the internets with the shit you lot spout out.
Good day. And see you in Brixton.

Great news from Liam and co.
It seems now that we do have a definite timeline for the album/single/tour etc.
There would be a lot of preperation to have a full on tour next year and for Liam to say it now, it shows that he's giving the fans a more concrete belief that its gonna happen. He can't let big news like this out without following through.
Yeah its fair enough for us not to believe when he says the album is gonna come out on X date but he's mentioned a huge tour too so i'm willing to believe what he says and not be bitchy about anymore delayed dates etc.
2008 has been one of the best years for The Prodigy and the fans and next year when everything is done and dusted, 2009 is gonna be a lot better.
I won't hold my breath for another album after this though!

Well, I say put up or shut up at this point. We're coming up on twelve years with just the slightly better then bland AONO to show. This isn't coming from a fan, but from someone who is looking at this from a label perspective or a career perspective.
While it may keep hardcore fans juiced, you are losing all the tweeners out there while other electronica artists are generating new material every 1-3 years. This puts you on the backburner and the longer you wait, the less people will care about your next release.
I mean, look at FOTL. The damn thing debuted #1 on the US charts. Did AONO even register? I bet it would have, had it not taken seven years to make.
I hope for their professional sake that this album or single is close to done. We may not care about that side of things, but I can only imagine the people who's career is dependant on it do.

oh boo-hoo.
Part of the reason why i love the prodigy so much is they go against the conventions of most bands. Liam pretty much does what he wants and whats best for his music and the band. Respect to him for that. I hate people like you who bitch and moan about something that will undistandably take its time. I'd much rather a really good record then a rushed one. Liam has never give a release date, so until we get official word on that - i'll happily wait for it.

you are happy with an album once every 7 years?cause history is close to repeating it self.and it doesn't have anything to do with how much of a fan you are,it's taking to much time to release the god damn thing,no matter that liam does what the fuck he wants

lol
releasing new material every year doesn't mean shit.
look at scooter.
i took the time to wait after i was blown away by MFTJG. and it was all worth it. i took the time to wait after FOTL. and it was still worth it even though everyone expected FOTL part 2. (yeah, i like aono - with the exception of "shoot me down" & "the way it is". crucify me already.)
i understand why people are impatient. but it's not like there's not a single sign of life. i remember times when there were no gigs at all and people wondered if the band still exists and stuff.
their gigs r first class today. the invaders academy tour will feature some setlist changes for sure and it's all goin well.
it kinda reminds me of "breathe". anyone? they released firestarter, after that came "breathe" single and there was a massive tour around november/december 1996. then FOTL came out and it was all good after all.
same thing is about to happen here, i guess.
