I wonder, if The Prodigy got the same free publicity that the BBC have given U2, would they still be #1 ?

U2 will sell just because it's U2, not because the album is any good. Infact from what I've heard of the new single and from various reviews... it's utter shit! Prodigy are No.1 because it's a fucking brilliant album! Everyone I've spoken to who's listened too it - most of which aren't massive prodigy fans - has said it's the best album the prodigy have done, and they all appreciate FOTL.

Same here, I played it to some of my friends who didn't like The Prodigy and one of them absolutley loves Omen and Warrior's Dance, another loves Stand Up and Thunder, hell, even my girlfriend loves Run With The Wolves and she hates The Prodigy Run With The Wolves is really the complete opposite type of music she likes aswell which I find weird, but there can't be someone who hates every song on the album, theres at least 1 song that everyone likes.

Hope it goes top ten, oasis went top 5 in the US for the first time since 1997 with "Dig Out Your Soul" cant see any reason why prodigy cant do it.

Word of mouth and the internet / youtube will help the band this time around!

Not completely true. If an unknown dance act had released this album do you really think it would have got to number one? The name "prodigy" attached to it has the same effect that "u2" had on this alubm. Saying that, IMD is a much better album than that shite by U2, and AONO didnt sell very well for a reason.

I think that's a great result for conservative Germany, only Mando Diao and Peter Fox (great German Alternative Artist) should have beat them!

Anecdote: AONO No.6 at first week, but falled quickly out of Top 10 !
