That's ALL you need to know, actually. Liam stating soon what the album will be like, cause they finished about 6 tracks. Oh man... I can smell the activity over here already. People will be swarming on the board again, getting the feeling again, the hype building up... people chatting with high hopes and big expectations.
And then you'll realize once again it's just A BLANK BULLET. Another 9+ months to go.
So, I'll just say I'm happy that they're doing something. It's so far away still. you gotta have that feeling, but not being hypd about it. Just KNOWING, you know? Seriously, this is the best moment to realize another album is coming. No excitement yet, just this small fact. Yeah, I wasn't being sarcastic when I said that. It just feels right to think about it that way. I expect them to take their time. And Stasz, you can be happy with Chase&Status, 'filthy dubstep', Kaye West and Black Eyed Peas until something decent comes along. Don't panic bro. We lova ya.

Black Eyed Peas just announced they're taking a break, so you can cross that off the list

Personally, i think its good that liam is writing music.
Finding the inspiration to write something good takes passion, liam certainly has this...
What does it matter if it takes another year maybe even two.
Just to produce something so powerful that people get influenced by the sound.
Music production isn't just something you can crank out in fifteen minutes and get the fans to appreciate it.
Just my opinion

This is exactly why I don't even respond to people complaining "bring out some new music!!! hurry up liam stop being laaazy!!!!"
Liam is an extremely talented creator of music, and it takes passion through inspiration to make great music

When you include all the inspiration it took, invaders took about 4 years to put together.
What AONO started off as (with trigger, nuclear etc) was absolute trash and got binned. I think he spent about a year putting together what he finally came up with for the final release of AONO with no keith or maxim.

yes aono was made in 1 year, but the question is what has he done in the remaining six years? really dont get me wrong, because u are absolutely right about saying that gathering inspiration is important and it takes time. everyone who ever produced any kind of art knows this. but theres no inspiration that takes YEARS, even if you tour in the meantime and all. i would say releasing an album every three years would be the last that i could accept as "normal", so as to spend one whole year with absolutely nothing but enjoying your album been done, next year to gather inspiration and perhaps put together some demos and the third year to actually create the whole album.
whats your opinion about this?

My opinion is i'm sure he probably makes tunes on the go, even when invaders had been released, and makes tunes every time he goes into the studio. He just doesn't strike me as the kinda guy that does 'nothing' for a year.
When he makes those blog posts about being in the studio, i'm sure he's done about 20 raw demos. He makes them THAT fast.
Remember the zane lowe - the story of the prodigy radio show? i remember zane saying he saw "300 tracks" in liams logic file, and that was all from before invaders got released.
Once the trio realize the kinda sound they're going for with the new album, they probably pick out a bunch of tracks, and continue making tracks along the same vibe. So yeah, i honestly think it's great for them to spend plenty of time working on the album. It's what will make sure this album is separate from the others

from all those hundreds of tracks you mention most are little bits, ideas, beats with a length of 1-2 min.also i remember a interview of keith who said he was going in the studio during the recording of imd.he wanted to develop previous ideas, tracks that they worked on,but liam already forgot about them and misplaced them in the computer, not even remembering what those tracks were about.
so just because he is in the studio doesn't mean we will get a full album in a year time.in the last 7-8 years he was always saying he was in the studio.in 2006 he had 30 tracks for a album.he said he only has to choose what tracks to put on the album.in 2007 said he has the tracks and only need to put some voices.but he bined most of it and wrote more than half of imd in 2008.but at least then he started playing demos in the set,and showed us he was working
so when i hear liam telling us he is in the studio and working, doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.i will be happy if this summer he'll drop something new.that will be the best indication he actually had work done and the album is coming soon
But i admire he is at least working
