Well, I like the tunes. Black Smoke has a cool groove going for it. Just something you'd kinda just nod ya head to instead of jumping around.

Fighter Beat has a real experimental feel to it. Real weird sounding. But got some futuristic vibe. I dunno how to explain it. But I like it. It's definitely not a tune for the clubs or for going mental. It's just weird. But in a good way.

I personally don't think they'd fit on the album. They are not upbeat and as energetic as the majority of the tunes on IMD. They have a more relaxed but still agressive energy to them.

fuck me fighter beat is total fucking garbage!...the worst thing liam has ever done, no energy, boring, slow,..what a waste the lost beats seems to be..thank fuck that will never see a release or more importantly in a live set!

does anyone think its a slightly ironic title for these songs? "the lost beats ep" etc...should it of not remained lost? why? because its actually the worst thing liam has ever done...message to liam...if you dont think its good enough to be on an album there is probably a reason for it..its shite...i'm amazed at how bad it is...hope this isnt the future..fuck me if it is quit now for all our sakes!

So I have heard both tracks now:

Black Smoke: Now this is what I'm talking about! This is a great track. As a breakbeat artist myself, this is the kind of drums i like to hear from Liam. And thoose dirty synthlines are pure gold. Sure, this tune dont have a great epic melody like No Good, SMBU or any of thoose well known Prodigy-tracks. Buts thats not the point of Black Smoke. This is a fat one-man jam-sessiom from the great Hovlett. And I like it!! 7/10

Fighter Beat: Okay, if this was a real track on the album, I would be pissed. But it's not. I dont think this track is a good track. But for us who make music, this is also a good way to listen to Liam having fun in the studio. I like the way he ad parts to the synths and take away other elements as the song goes. So not a great track. But good enough for me.. 4/10
