Did he just put the song into Goldwave or Audacity, cut the beginning, pasted it in the middle, cut out a few parts and felt proud of himself? Yeah, it's fucking abysmal. I love the edit, gives the song more momentum... If you didn't hear the album version, you wouldn't be complaining. It's an edit, guys! Jesus you lot are a bunch of whiners that just wanna bitch bitch bitch about any frigging little thing. Actually the mix/master is pretty different from the album version as well. But that's why it's called an EDIT and not a RE-EQ because he just shortened it, probably for radio/video play purposes. That's the whole frigging point of an edit! What exactly were you expecting with from a goddamn edit? I really don't get you lot at all. Were you crying about the Nasty and Wild Frontier edits used for the videos, radio, and promo CDs??? It's not going to be some frigging completely new rework, he just made it more radio friendly by shortening it. You people have outrageous expectations... this new spoiled generation raised on the internet. I was expecting something like the No Good edit. It's hella different from the full mix. This is just something any audio editing noob could do. He could at least make it a tad bit more interesting, that's all. But yeah, it can serve as a video/radio version. I like the remaining tracks though, even though the Rebel Radio remix is nothing special. AWOL is great, not the best version, but still great. The re eq of GYFO GIVES the song more momentum, and the TDIME remix is pretty good.

The most ridiculous thing about the release is the cassette has an extra picture of the band and the CD has nothing. Feels like this time the cassette is the prime release. Can't believe Cooking Vinyl how unpretending about the CD: just a cheap looking shit cardsleeve for a high price. FUCK CV!!

Anyway why is the name: Re EQ? What is "Re"? The older EQs are 05 EQ, 09 EQ. So GYFO EQ is why not 15 EQ?

Cause 2015 EQ could apply to both versions. Even though it was originaly EQ'ed in 20-4 the origininal was released in 2015.

Please stop responding sincerely to Neorev, his posts are always written as if he assumes Liam is reading them. Earlier on he said he hated the original version of AWOL, which is completely untrue as he liked it when it first surfaced ( viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7529&start=45), he only said that because it's probably been scrapped now and so no longer exists. Same reason he prefers the Rhythm Bomb edit, because it's the newest version of the track. Alexx wrote: the lp and the ep are the worst in prodigy history. too bad i'll have to live on memories now. i am even certain liam doesnt even write this shit anyway. at least i hope Could you go into detail a bit? You've posted a fair bit here in the past so you're probably not trolling, but saying things like "x is the worst" and "x is shit" doesn't tell us anything.

Had a similar feeling about that Neorev-thing. He's probably a good dude, but confusing criticism or dislikes with bitching while simultaneously loving everything Liam does feels off. Anyway, while the point of having an edit is to actually do an edit is self explanatory, it still needs to make sense, musically. Which isn't the case, here. The original RB was a bit messy, so it could have helped tighten it up a little, but this is not helping at all. It sounds like someone had to do this but actually didn't want to bother. It doesn't flow well. Judging by their musical output and by what Liam said about "writing an album bores the shit out of me" (or however he said it), it's truly time to take a step back and see if it wasn't about time to re-evaluate their musical goals. Maybe Liam should do a solo thing, trying to see if writing beats for a HipHop artist might re-ignite his fire or some soundtrack stuff, maybe an ambient EP without any beats at all. It feels so formulaic and forced, it hurts both my inner Prodigy fan and my good taste in general music.

It's just frustrating that whenever produces a contrary opinion on here, they're instantly called "spoiled". Just think people need to get a grip. This is a discussion board, not an echo chamber. some people will NEVER criticise a Prodigy tune here, no matter how weak it might be. They have the same excuses, it's for the live show, it bangs on a proper sound system, on lossless it's turns to be a masterpiece...it's kind of frustrating to see these behaviour on people over 30. That's what it feels like. Excuses. I got shat on here because I said I didn't care much for the live shows and wanted them to write good music that made sense in your living room, in a club, on your ipod/whatevs. While I can second that the new tunes will work better in a live environment, arguing that FLAC or 24/96 files will give you the 'real' experience or somehow magically make better tunes out of them, is just silly. Make a 128kb mp3 out of Climbatize or SMBU and they'll still be great SONGS and considerably better than Nasty or WoD.

I really like AONO too though and they've produced lots of great stuff, unfair to expect it to go on forever, I just hope they don't ruin their reputation by releasing too much more substandard stuff.

I do not love AWOL.The live version or this.Decent but nothing amazing. Also i prefer to wait 5 years and get something amazing than this. I worship the MFTJG-FOTL era and nothing will surpass it. I hated most of the songs played live in the pre TDIME era and i posted for months that Jet,awol, dogbite ect where bs and worst prodigy material ever.Thank god Liam binned most and started fresh.
I know the last album is not comparable to their golden 90's era but still it is better than their last 2 albums and surely than everything else you can find outhere.I would prefer another artist's abum only if it was brought to me in the buttcrack of Bellucci.
Guys do not overeact and sound that everything Liam writes the last years is bad or much much worse than the old stuff.TDIME still fucks everything the Chems , Leftfield , Daft or anyone else wrote the last 10-15 years.
*it is funny that it is like most of you who want to write bad things about the band take courage from another guy's negative post and then all post in waves for max effect lol.Like you call eachother first lol.
