Flachcracker wrote: but who knows what of the new material will be on the new album. Maybe nothing of mescaline, warriors dance, etc. etc. Yes I must agree with it, we'll see that's all I can say for this. But actually I was talking about the new stuff as the "new stuffs we already know", so wd and wof and blabla. Flachcracker wrote: Like I said some days before - for me the xylophone tune sounds really nice, but it´s only early BETA Stuff for me. Propably it will be just a small element of a new track - like Trigger elements Liam used for Shoot Down.
Liam made the biggest mistake by "converting" trigger to shoot down. one of their worst track ever
Of course it's surely only because i love trigger so much and feel sry for it never released.

I think anything we've heard so far is not intended to be single material. I reckon they're all in "Liams B-sides folder" or whatever ya wanna call it because I believe Liam still wants that first single to have major impact and to be unheard live when its put out.
The AONO debate has been done a million times over already. All I can say about that album is I think it reflects the time and state the Prodigy were in when it was produced. Much like BGAT does. AONO was Liam getting back into the swing of things.
People talkin about Shadow, I put it on for my mates and if its the first time they've heard it they always tell me it sounds wicked. But I've noticed something weird, when people don't know its "The Prodigy" they are listening to they seem to like the tunes more. Thats just what I've noticed at my parties and shit. When I say "hey listen to this new Prodigy I got my hands on" they seem like they dont wanna give it a chance.
And that little "PRODIGY NEW SINGLE ETC ETC" is so lame. Looks like it was knocked up in about 2 mins. I can't believe anyone would think that its for real

People are fucked. A lot. I have million stories like this. My fav was back in 2000. A girl pal of mine said she hates prodigy, they play shit music. I asked why, you only saw the firestarted video and breathe, and that's all. She said, no matter, they play shit music. I said okay...
Next, party at her, I bring music, we put it in, No Good starts. The girls screams: wahhh what is this I loved it so much when i was a child, wuhu can't belive you have it, what is it?
I said it is the band you hate so much...

that is exactly what i'm talking about! happens to me all the time. I know alot of people who tell me that they hate Prodigy. Next minute they are telling me they love the song that I'm playing and I'm like "yeh... thats err Prodigy"
Next Party I'm having its gonna be all Prodigy, and I'm not telling anybody that until afterwards and I don't give a fuck if people don't like it. I'll play little bit from this era and then little bit from that era and mix it up. Can't wait to crank up B&E 05 in front of my commercial radio loving mates.

yeah got some likewise-story's too.
A conversation with somebody who hates The Prodigy, you turn something up random... it's not like they know anything they only know Firestarter, Breathe and Smack my Bitch up.
'Oh this song's whicked from who's this ??'
'The Prodigy...'
'Oh..........'
And then they turn their back on you and continue with whatever they were doing.
Oh and everyone who thinks The Prodigy is shite, and you turn Out of Space on, and those same people are enjoying the track and sing along with the lyrics, those are the real fuckers.

Prodigy had such a name to live up to in 2001-2002. So when the people found out their live show stank and BGAT didn't live up, there started to be a negative vibe. That vibe was confirmed by the aono live leak. People already suspected that the album would bomb, but not as much as it actually did. It was a lot worse than people expected.
They turned that tidal wive of growing negative feelings with their live shows 2004 and onwards, but it takes time for news to catch up. Their bad shows around 2001-2002 still haunted them in Netherlands when they played pinkpop in 2005. When they actually started playing, people were suprised Prodigy were still so good. Actually, it became 'in' to diss the prodigy and call them old and 'hasbeens'.
Nowadays even when people hear the new tunes on youtube, a lot of people are saying stuff like 'New prodigy album? Well I do not hold my breath'.
They have ro re-earn their credits. Looks like to me they are well on their way now with the new material and their current attitude. Maybe Warriors dance as a single can re-energize the buzz?

i agree shadow is a very strong tune.it doesn't sound like aono.but i doubt it will be on the album .i se no reason for liam to do that.it has already benn released, so on the new album i hope 4 someting new instead.
and i agree that there are alot of fuckers out there who diss the prodigy just beacause of their name.in general those are the peoplr who only know smbu, firestarter, breathe.they are just talking like idiot, and they don't even know that some of the tracks they like are in fact the prodigy, and that this band is the most inovative band in electronic music and one of the most unic bands who really invented a genre of her own

Quite frankly I dont give a shit!!
If Howlett wants to 'perfect' his music let him, I dont care there is too much good music out there to arse around with these guys all the time, move on, there is so much happening in electronic music atm, and by the sounds of you lot its as if the prodigy are the only ones!!
Remember you lot are a bunch of chinese whisperers flaming up rumour after rumour, its a laugh to read! I know of no other forum where so may people are aggressive talking such bullshit and makiing assumptions as this and other prodigy forums do.... if you aint got nothing to say dont say anything at all!!!
Personally whether he is a music producer, sculpter, film producer etc... it makes no difference it is completely unprofessional to lag time and again not keeping to deadlines even if they are loosely made...
Anyway this was another 7 pages of nothing that is wasting interweb space!
...Rant overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I guess SHADOW is only a project Liam gave to the game developers and that´s it. I don´t think it will be on the new album.
I guess there will be a bigger chance to get a lyric version of WARNING imo. - and if it´s not n the next album, I think it will be a b-side for single.
The thing about "I hate prodigy but who is this artist?" reminds me on the history of prodigy with the DJ`s. The DJ´S in 1992 said they like the Prodigy, but it´s too commercial so I don´t play them. After Liam released ONE LOVE under anonymus whiote label EARTHBOUND the DJ´s played them again without knowing it´s The Prodigy. It was a kick in everyone´s DJ-arse
Sorry - but I´m pissed a little bit.....
HEY LIAM - You do what the fuck you want and that´s OK

Bizarrely I get the opposite reaction in my social circles! People find the tracks too heavy but when you mention it's Prodigy they give it another chance!
I think it's an Essex lad thing! They feel loyal to them because they're from just down the road! They do the same with Jamie fucking Oliver - he's a nob but because he lives ten minutes away they give him respect! There was a lot of new fans gained from AONO and many of them didn't like the earlier stuff, and I suspect won't like the new album either. Even though it's looking like it could be the best thing they've done.
Should mention that even though I said Jamie Oliver was a nob his advice saved my XMAS turkey after I forgot to buy any onions. Credit where credit's due.

just put on their law the singles, most laymen will think its a mix tape of different 'techno' artists. this album is shaping up as the most defining yet, seems to have a bit of everything from what we've heard
