this book is a cool thing which has its expense... which is a bit high, especially for non-english people...
imagine what it would cost like from... U2 or... Madonna... or shit
a really cool thing for the collector maniacs and the people with a bulked vallet. just look at it... i seriously wanna have it, but i'm a poor student, so no goodies for me.
like cracker said, it's the standard by now... milkin' the fans, milkin' the album... you greedy fucking bastards... this is all you wanted: promotion, loads of remixes, b-sides, specials... it's all there... and now it's too expensive...
stop wining

Hahaha, yeah your right, BUT, you gotta admit, it is all going a bit too far with all the releases. Prodigy Invaders Rubber Johnnys??? Come on!
I guess when they release a RWTW single then they'll release ANOTHER IMD album (the Supa-Dupa Deluxe Collector's Edition), prob containing the album, lost beats eo, all remixes n b-sides, all videos, as well as a bonus live dvd of one of their concerts. Lol

Are you kinding man? b-sides? Where? Who lied to me? :-D

Sorry, my bad, should be 'B-SIDE' (Mescaline), can't imagine the next single having any b-sides, just another bunch of midblowingly-shit remixies! lol

My god they really are milking this album for all they can

Summa summarum:
-----------------------
Imagine - someone who really isn´t into prodigy don´t know any release, in the most common shops you will only find 3 editions of IMD on CD and 2 versions on vinyl in moment

CD version
CD/DVD version
Special Edition

VINYL
LTD BOX-Set

... that´s it and this is standard for the most bands worldwide !

Ignorance is Bliss
Some good points in your post, it's made me take a long good look at myself. As a collector, the promos earn the prodigy nothing from fans, and the majority of my promos are worth a lot more than official stuff. Maybe I should have considered buying official only?? I don't think the official prodigy stuff would look as expensive if I stuck to this way of thinking.

IMD era we have had 16 remixes

1 B side

Id pay £100 for new tracks, not for some pictures of the band.

We did get the Lost Beats EP as well, and even though a lot of people seem to think it's shit I like every track on it. Still I agree I'd rather have tracks like Heatwave, Stab and AWOL than a book...

Yes i would though, ive spent so much over 15 years on their music but thats what im most interested in, their music as opposed to a book as i see more value in tracks

Like most fans tbh

The Prodigy are a band that produce music. Not some multimedia machine that churns out any Prodigy branded products such as books, clothes and condoms.................oh wait

Yeah, Prodigy is about music - totally agree to this point. Everything besides that is something everyone has to decide for him-/herself buyin this or not.

But if I remember correct, there was a topic some months ago and someone said something like "The music business is not all about the music, cos you cannot earn enough money just with music, most musician artists main source for earning money is merchandise nowadays ... "

And if you think about it: The last / latest releases - especially the promos - of the IMD era are not about Prodigy, too. It´s about the remixes, and the most remixes are not done by Prodigy.

Imagine you have nothing of IMD-era and you want everything of IMD-era that is pure Prodigy music and you can select all these tracks, where Liam had his hands on, you will only have this:

IMD-album
Lost Beats EP
Omen [single version]
Warriors Dance [Edit]
Take Me To The Hospital [EQ]
Take Me To The Hospital [Liam and Josh]
Invaders Must Die [Liam´s Re-Amped]
... and then there will be "Mescaline"

It´s not so many IMO - it´s like havin one album, one bonus EP, 4 singles [including 1 b-side]

So, no one can tell me, they´re milking the album, cos everything besides that is optional.

Well I shant be owning the new book as Iv said to Evans in msn, its milking the fans. I mean whats next buy a piece of Liams hair for £200 ? Seriously Im only into them for the music hence why I like them and yea I'd buy anything musically related that they release but a book containing pictures? Nah thanks I'd rather look on the internet at pictures, tho Im trying not to be a total ass about the whole subject. I can see the 2 point of views about die hard fans wanting to get their hands on it - yet I can see why fans wouldn't want to purchase it!
And Im baaaack :P Its Tifa - had trouble with my other account for like ... ages couldnt log on at all and shit so iv finally decided to get a new account!!! Yay me.. *ahem*anyway's back on topic.
I wouldn't buy the book is my conclusion and my personal opinion - now please take it easy when you decide to shred my opinion up and tell me everything I said is wrong as I'm a lady lol :P
