Not sure what a crappy remix of IMD has to do with the new album but still, it's good to have the info on the forum somewhere...

Saw your thread about it after I'd read about the remix in here. Should have put your thread in news. Anything Prodigy music related is news when the silences are so long.

That was YouTube and their buggy automated artist name assigning system. With distribution sites, YouTube will assign an artist's music depending according to the artist name. For instance, I use DistroKid and they distribute to YouTube. YouTube gets my music from DistroKid and then go and assign my releases to my Neorev artist name so it is easily searchable and connected to me. This guy's name is Prodigy, so YouTube mistakenly saw Prodigy and assigned it to The Prodigy. The Prodigy didn't actually load it to their page. You see similar crap happen on Spotify and Tidal when artists have similar names and the streaming site has releases from different artists all under the one artist name. If you go on Spotify, especially in the "Appears on" section of The Prodigy, you will see releases that Prodigy of Mobb Deep appeared on and not The Prodigy. Prodigy of Mobb Deep is also linked to the Spawn soundtrack instead of The Prodigy. There's a metal band called Monstro while there's also an electronic producer named MonstrO who listed as one. Also, the electronic act Hansel gets mixed up with other Hansels. This happens quite often and sometimes never even fixed. It's the streaming services screwing up. I imagine someone on The Prodigy caught the error and why it was finally removed from their page. This is the guy... https://open.spotify.com/album/353jKBsL ... 0TOjhO8UaQNow, to call yourself Prodigy after you got The Prodigy and the infamous Prodigy of Mobb Deep who are both quite well known, you gotta be a real asshole to reuse a name that is already so well established. Then again, there was another act calling themselves The Prodigy recently. I don’t know what rock these people live under or maybe they're banking on the confusion. P.S. I am no longer go under the musical alias Neorev. I will now be known as The Chemical Brother from now on.
