Post subject:  Prodigy on Mortal Kombat 3 soundtrack: fiction or not?
Rumour has it that Prodigy has been approuched to do a song for the fortcoming Mortal Kombat movie? Possibly. The last two soundtracks was simuliar in music to the likes of the band.

The new mortal combat movie has been in pre-production for years, and knoone knows if it will ever be done. There is not even a manuscript yet. So i doubt it.

new movie song, this could be intresting

if it does go ahead im sure itl be a new tune from new album perhaps because if this movie was to get produced it wouldn't be until somtime in 08 or 09 or even longer so should be ok

although this could be a fake rumor

Mortal Kombat was adapted into two major motion pictures, Mortal Kombat (1995), and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997). Neither film was screened for critics prior to theatrical release, receiving poor critical receptions at the time they were released. However, the first movie was a major financial success, eventually grossing $70 million in the U.S. (and over $125 million worldwide) while jumpstarting the Hollywood careers of Paul W. S. Anderson and Robin Shou, among others. That momentum did not carry over into Annihilation, however, which received a colder reception from critics and fans alike, and took in only $30 million in the U.S. A third film, Mortal Kombat: Devastation, is currently in the development stage with a tentative release date of 2010.

Moviehole.net has written an article claiming some new information regarding MK3, as well as some other tasty information. Unlike what has been rumored before, the movie supposedly will no longer be a sequel, prequel or anything of the sort. Instead, Threshold is tying to ‘reinvent’ the franchise with new concepts and styles. So possibly they may try and ask Prodigy if they wan't to do a track for the film. I browsed through the Net for more and where I found the rumour was from some MK fanatic fan site.
www.mortalkombatonline.com among others. It could be true or could not. Nonetheless, Threshold did add the Religion mix Prodigy did for they're Beowulf movie.

However, I doubt it.
