As you might already know, somebody is fooling people by uploading fake compilations of fan remixes and reworks. I have received a message from Websherrif (in the name of the band) letting me know that every material that we post including fan remixes and reworks are okay as long as we give The prodigy Credit for it by posting this small text:

I cannot show you the content of this message but I was advised to give you some indications about how we should act to keep our band safe from wrongdoers.

So in General, the remixes on YouTube are allowed and Individual track remixes on blogs are okay to as long as the remix is either of old material or LIVE / CONCERT material from the new album and that we add the credit each time. Also make it clear each time that these are fan remixes of live show material.

What we should avoid is:Posting numerous remixes together so that they look like a promo or look like the upcoming album.

The band loves the fans but hate those who try to post remixes and reworks as official promos and materials. Those fan remixes and reworks are not official and each time we post them we have to indicate that its only a fan remix and of course dont forget to add the copyright text.

There is many ways we can promote our favorate band but it does not inlcude this type of promos wich disturbs the one that the band is already doing. Talk to people about the band and about the next album. Dont try to be there unofficial promoter. I hope this message will make you understand the seriousness of the situation and that we keep supporting the band.

ps: This message is not accusing any of us. Its a general warning message for us that I share with you so we can keep everything clean.

looks like everythings getting official including the fan mixes, i really dont want them fucking everything up with all these fake promo's its just gonna give people more doubts about the prodigy and its community.

but it is true i guess, i've seen around 3 warriors dance songs, all of em have been molotov's but his name is hidden in the description which can only be viewed once u click more, the actual video just says "The Prodigy - Warriors Dance) i think that could be one of the reasons why everythings gone wild

dude from what i seen you always posted the words rework or unofficial in your clips on youtube but to put all that text everytime we post something it's kinda stupid.like they did with that parody clip of invaders must die.
i understand what they're saying but it feels a little drastic to post that text in every prodigy reladed thing we upload.i never heard of anyone else doing this

Pinhead I understand how it can be frustrating. But we have to do it because some cunts are fooling people. For the benefit of the band, this is what we should do. The more we do it, the less people will be fooled. Thats the way it is.

yeah but like i said it seems it aplies to everithing we upload.like the parody soren did if you watched it:it was just the beggining of imd with him humming over the track and a picture of the gay in the butt black guy with maxim's make-up on his face.and it was removed cause it was violating copyright.that was weird.
but you're right about the other guys posting even you're tracks without giving you the credit saying it's the official track.

I dont really care about the credits you know. I like it when you guys enjoy my remixes of course but I just dont wanna pay for some cunts who are trying to be smart by posting those tracks as official material.
