Strictlysocial.com is promoting the 'Omen' single by hosting what seems to be a listening party for Herve's iTunes exclusive remix.

You can listen to it here:

http://www.strictlysocial.com/journal/2 ... rld-remix/

By the way, I hope it's cool to post this. If no, my apologies in advance, guys.

IMD!

Thanks for posting...

Now for my opinion: I think it's shit... All that which make Omen so good is nowhere to be found in this mix. Where's the exitement of all the genres/styles and bits and pieces? This mix could have been a standalone track... but Omen is just a poor excuse. Even if the production is quite ok on this track, it doesn't really do anything. It's boring. Maybe cool as a soundtrack to a racegame or something. Whatever.

No problem! Yeah, Herve's remix is all over the place!
Only reason to post it was the fact that it was something new, y'know?

Upon hearing it, however, my reaction was like, is he freakin' serious!?

The Beats are nice, but the tune, as a whole, kinda sucks, in my opinion. I'm glad you guys agree. :)

All new material is highly appreciated, but a lot of it (remixes!) are just shitty. So far, I have not heard one that I like enough that I play it all day, of all the remixed IMD tracks (if you exclude some remakes Molotov Beats made; some of it is nice). By the way, too bad Molotov's work, the remakes, will be quite irrelevant when the real deal arrives. I mean, they're cool interpretations but compared to the actual tracks they will not stand up (duh). But I just like the fact that his material is all over the place... From there on, he should do his own thing, I guess. Remixing and remaking is nice, but such music just doesn't really last...

This will work like a charm on the dancefloors. Will definitely make an edit!

I agreed with you all when the track started, there was a really amateurish feel and it was too cluttered. But the bits that I really like are the drops (e.g. 1:30).

So for me the drops get 9/10 and the whole track overall gets about 7/10. Like Attila said, this would work nicely on dance floors imo.

I wanna see an official released Remix by Molotov on one of the forthcoming prodigy singles [okay, it´s too late for Omen single].

I guess that isn´t impossible cos Liam has his hands on the TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL label and as far as I can remember he wants to have a platform for new unknown artists aswell....

Yeah i think this one tops it, no imagination, just his own Cheap Thrills track mashed up with Omen, i understand that thats his style but at least make it fucking interesting.

Which Cheap Thrills track?

I dunno im not feeling the hate for this track, think it would work well in a club, each to their own and all that but think hes produced far worse than this
