Just got back from Download.
What a mess from massive delays getting in,thieves in the crowd and getting our vehicle towed away out the muddy car park.
PRODIGY SET:
- They were half an hour late on stage!
- They also played 'Dogbite' which is missing off the setlist.
- The original AWOL version was played near the end.
- The NEW song they played 3rd track in was probably called 'Jetfighter' as the lyric was in the tune. Also was 'Celebrate the Noise Maker' which is a live lyric for Mescaline. This is a short stompy track which is mainly a Keef vocal track.
- I reckon the crowd reaction was a lot less intense than the 2009 DL set due to the sticky mud. imagine trying to find your footing in a crushed crowd frenzy but your feet also stick to the ground. Everyone seemed to calm down after 4 or 5 tracks.
- Frequencies knocked out of the system, u could chat away to your mate near the front with the gig in full swing, some songs sounded naff with the system. Almost felt too quiet at times.
- Turns out that setlist was fake. but Break and Enter woulda been nice and it still feels like the band are reluctant/struggling with the new tunes. a bit dissapointing with the 'The showcasing new tunes to the UK' thing we've been hearing all along.
Great Set tho!...

His Roland Gaia isn't even connected, no jack cable just DC in...
this synth is pretty sick too, its an analogue simulator but a fucking nice one at that, analogue synths can be very limiting, im probably gonna buy one of these bad boys to replace a lot of the VST synths i currently use live.
and as far as liam goes playing live synths.. he could do everything with just one, but that wouldnt look so epic now would it?
makes me think of justice with their wall of marshall cabs - what a load of fake bullshit that is..
