madonna headlined last year and only played 6 tracks

Yes but that's Madonna. I'd imagine that set length was her doing. What she wants she gets.

I can't imagine The Prodigy would do a 6 track set.

depends on what they agree with the organisers at the end of the day so cant see the set being alot bigger than 6 tracks

Madonna only played 6 songs etc..because that's her..if you go to the link below and click on some of the other bands who played it shows that played a lot more than 6 songs -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/bigweekend/2008/lineup/

The Kooks who headlined the Sunday night played 16 songs, Editors played 12 songs when they headlined the second stage on the Saturday and so on.....so I think we can look forward to a fairly lengthy Prodigy set (well I can..because I'm going lol ) but I can't see more than 6/7 songs being shown on BBC i / BBC 3 unless they decide to show their set live like how they did with Madonna

They are playing a 50min set that is pretty full on by the sound of it from their chat with Edith. 8-) Hope we get to see a good portion of it (if not all :-D :-D )

Look out on the Radio 1 website next week. I remember Primal Scream played at last years one and i watched their whole set online (streaming) from the website only. Was only on there for a week or two though. Fingers crossed...

So as its going to be a 50min full on set..what do you think will and won't be played ?

At a guess I'll prob say the following won't be played that featured on the UK tour - Comanche, Jericho (altho maybe..can't decide), Diesel Power, Poison, Their Law...not too sure about the others..at a guess I would prob say run with the wolves as well...but that's pretty full on..lol :-D..I'd hate to be in Liam's shoes deciding on this setlist...lol
