As I said above I do not mind the topics - the wierd thing for me is that they are getting too much attention and discussions. And as I also said this is just my opinion and I do not blame anyone if he/she is interested and need to discuss such topics on 10 or more pages. Freedom of speech after all. As some discuss that Liam is getting fat and his hair is bad I discuss that these statements are worthless to me and do not make any sense. I am discussing - that's what the forum is all about I guess

Some are getting the wrong attention: like the people moaning about the VIP gig.

Zed wrote: Well, 90s were full of news and releases from the Prodigy. Those years just blew mind away with singles before the FOTL is out. My first Prodigy CD was Everybody in the place - selected mixes, it was full of brilliant remixes. I doubt anyone could criticize Prodigy then.
But now we've got giant delays between albums, no singles, no remixes. We've got some crap news and some really doubtful tracks like tune for the Shadow. Emptiness gets filled with shit very quickly. So, I have no illusions why there is so much of bullshit around.
Yeah, thank you for that! It would be much better for everybody if the band releases singles to earn some money.

Are they doing it again?
If that's an official flyer, they got the date wrong. The 14th is a Wednesday...
Any source for this?

Donnow if this is true: don't know source as well.... (yet)
Quote: the band are recording new album and not doing any shows until next year, but were asked to play a party in moscow, we all love coming to russia so couldnt miss the chance of spending 3 days there, liam even wrote a tune whilst there
so all is good and the album is really taking shape
looking forward to being back out there later next year to do some proper shows
speak soon
john
so according to john fairs people should take this as a gift and maybe this is the best way for the prodge to get tracks..... to get it live on stage and test new music =)
and they stay fit (a bit) xD
now stop whining about this lol xD

I really don't understand some people here. We all supposed to be "the big prodigy fans", eh no?
So then some of yis come up with this shit that "oh it's so fuckin suck, it's no good, why prodigy play vip gig, blablablabla". Go take your pillows and fill it with your tears if you'd like, no words about it, but so then WHAT THE FUCK if they play vip gig? You act like if they would only do vip gigs. I don't see the point in getting angry/sad/or anything you want because the prodigy made a vip gig. And it's not the end and it's absolutely nothing at all. A real prodigy liker won't get angry just because of it. And besides the prodigy will play in romania, and that won't be a vip gig, and beside liam said they'll be back in portugese at the end of the year with a new set-list. So what are we talking about?

yeah i had this descussion with you on msn. i don't see why people cry about it all but now im pretty annoyed at the fact everyone loves them again. theres a Good few "Sheep" in this forum that just follow to make somone with more respect on here like them.
heres an example...
Big sugar brings out this thing, the best of lives 2002 to 2005 or what ever and everyones like woah amazing bigsugar thats fucking awesome and all that. i found that he had a pretty good selection but there was a good few i never agree'd on.
If i brought out my favourite live tracks to what bigsugar done everyone would just look at me and think what the fuck im i doing im being totally honest here with that.
Heres another example....
I posted a thing a found, a kasabian cover of out of space, now one person posted up it was a great cover then stasz came along and gave his opinion that it was shit and then about 5 minutes later the guy who posted first re edited that post and said he never liked it.... sounds pretty fishy to me likes
but there you go fella's, there is alot of fucking sheep on this honestly

As I said on the official Prodigy forums:

>>>--Coggles---» wrote: theres a Good few "Sheep" in this forum that just follow to make somone with more respect on here like them. But you get that in everyday life too, whereever you are. Personally, I like to think that I've always spoke my mind, and if people didn't like it, fuck 'em, that's their problem. If I didn't agree with a comment, I'd try to give a reasoned argument. I've learned that if you're not true to yourself, then what's the point of having an opinion at all? >>>--Coggles---» wrote: Big sugar brings out this thing, the best of lives 2002 to 2005 or what ever and everyones like woah amazing bigsugar thats fucking awesome and all that. i found that he had a pretty good selection but there was a good few i never agree'd on. If i brought out my favourite live tracks to what bigsugar done everyone would just look at me and think what the fuck im i doing im being totally honest here with that.. Name 'em, then. Some people might agree with you. I'm sure we all like different tracks and surely that's a good thing? If nothing else, it provokes a good argument Personally, I think Tim was just going for a diverse selection of the best versions of each track, not necessarily good songs. By that, I mean there's no point in putting twelve versions of the same track on a CD, you may as well show everything, be it good or not. I'd have to say I think it's a pretty good choice of rare, not-so-rare and firm favourites. >>>--Coggles---» wrote: I posted a thing a found, a kasabian cover of out of space, now one person posted up it was a great cover then stasz came along and gave his opinion that it was shit and then about 5 minutes later the guy who posted first re edited that post and said he never liked it.... sounds pretty fishy to me likes .
Again, it's a diversity thing, and a matter of opinion. For every member like Stasz that didn't like it, there's another that does. We had a similar argument about Firestarter recently, remember?
Also, I think all artists should play something thats outside their usual area, and see what the response is. OK sometimes it might be a right bloody mess, but then again, it might be a moment of genius. (Didn't Johhny Rotten say something along the lines of 'Evolve or Die'..?)
Personally (I hate that word although I've just used it three times), I thought it was great. I actually heard it live on Radio 1 when Kasabian played it in the Live Lounge, and ripped a streamed mp3 the same day.

BTW back to the original topic I'm not crying about the prodigy had a vip gig, f*ck no! I'm even happy I have some videos about it, which some guys posted up in this forum.[/quote]
